I suppose it's predicated on the principle that people behave "better" if they know they're being watched. Bollocks, I know...

In the 2024/25 tax year I paid myself £12k salary. My company paid £296.70 in Employer's NI. For the 2025/26 year, same salary, but now ErNI is £1,050. I may not like it but I can afford it. But that increase for many small companies is way too much to handle. Expect that unemployment rate to go up.

Not creepy at all. #pebblebee thinks romance is stalking your partner?

I've really enjoyed all the different themed specials this year, my favourites being the law special and the pub quiz. I think you delivered an appropriate outfit for each special, too 🤣

Making duck fat roast potatoes for Christmas Day dinner. They'll reheat nicely after a 2h drive around the M25.

What's happened to the @londonreconnections.com.web.brid.gy website? It's just saying "this site is private". www.londonreconnections.com

That's true. I should have used the trademarked form of the phrase to make it clear! I'd completely forgotten the mini CD format existed.

That's not a mini disc

5 months ago 1 0 1 0

The format wasn't released until November 1992

Will no-one have a thought for the mini disc?

Has there been a change to #styscraper @vole.wtf ? It seems a lot more sensitive. Either that or I need to finally admit I'm old and lacking coordination. Or it could be a Firefox update. Yes, it must be that. I can't be old yet.

A lovely palindromic date you picked there!

Subtract dates? What calcutions are needed?

I also wish instashite would allow the user to decide if they want to view posts in the order they were posted rather than in order Meta thinks is best. I don't want a week old post telling me about an event I missed, that I could have seen in a more timely fashion

Slightly different telling on BBC Sounds. Mrs Murphy asking after the gran rather than "says hello". Subtle but has a slightly different connotation

What's up with the #contractoruk forums? This is not the service I paid for ...

Ugh. The latest #Android16 update is ugly. The font looks like it's designed for a child's toy, maybe they're targeting an ever younger market. I definitely do not like the battery icon. I may have to remove that from my notification bar.

What a superb ending to #bookish, so glad there'll be a second series.

Having seen that Mercedes are going to start incorporating MS Teams into their car software, I can totally see a gap in the car market for cars that don't have such crud in them. Old school stuff circa 2000's is about the level of gadgetry that's needed. Where do I invest in such a novel idea?

*face not fave. Damn #autofuckitup strikes again

Thought I'd have a go at this age verification malarkey to see what the process looked like. Tried using the facial recognition feature that estimates your age. Turns out my fave isn't a real face. I've had some insults in my time but that takes the biscuit! #onlinesafetybill #ageverification

A new entry in the "how to make opting out of tracking more complicated" stakes. Platinum level privacy means giving away more data. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe your coworkers know you can't go to after work events and plan them that way on purpose.

Yep. Men will mansplain to anyone. They're quite egalitarian like that.
