Hi @laurahellfeld.bsky.social I hope they would learn about how interoception impacts neurodivergent’s individuals ability to perceive and understand body cues. Also sensory aspects of the bathroom can cause anxiety and avoidance. That accidents are never on purpose. 💗

Our therapy cat, Kirby, passed away almost a year ago. 💗These two cuties needed a home just at the time when we were ready to open our hearts again. Welcome to our crazy indoor farm, kitties!
Look at these amazing autistic author written books—published in just one month! I am so humbled to be included! Thank you! As an indie autistic author and self publisher, it’s hard to self promote. So any help is soooo appreciated! 💯🧠❤️
Shout out to all the neurodivergents, heading into a week of over stimulation, no routine, sky high expectations, and non optional socialising.
I see you.
Hey, Neurodivergent Pride Crew! Roll call! 🧠
One thing I wish I knew in school was who felt different like me. ♾️ The neurotype labels, while important for us to understand ourselves, only divide us further. We are stronger when we support each other and advocate TOGETHER.
I get the privilege of supporting PDA’ers and their families every day. I am working on a feedback guide for PDA evaluations that is kid friendly. Here is my newest graphic. Please note that no one does an iceberg better than Mona Delahooke but there is no better way to explain PDA. Any thoughts?
Hi all! I just published my first book 📕 on pathological demand avoidance called Unlocking the Power of My PDA Brain. 🧠 It is a kid friendly PDA education and support guide with activities and a parent companion guide. Find it on Amazon! a.co/d/iylp46S

Same! It’s either playing in my head or I’m listening to it AT ALL TIMES!
The second book is Unlocking the Power of My PDA Brain. This version includes all of the main information but does not include all activities and it does not have parent guide. This was to provide a lower cost version of the book.

Too many autistic students are imploding from autistic burnout and lack of accommodations for different learning needs. "If only schools had a space where students could step out & say 'I can breathe here, I can take time out'."

This post is 💯 on point! Excellent breakdown of the validity of self identification of autism as well as the and other things to consider that may overlap and create distress. Thank you @audhd-psychnp.com!
🥰
Thank you for including my new book! I am 💯 PDA and wrote this from lived and professional experience.
