Last year, Pennsylvania negotiated a binding AI agreement with its public sector union, SEIU Local 668. We spoke with leadership on both sides of the table to understand how they got there. What we found was that the process itself mattered as much as the outcome. partnershiponai.org/resource/how...

Independent AI assurance should be central to trust, but it’s still underused and underdeveloped.
PAI’s new three-part series, Strengthening the AI Assurance Ecosystem, outlines what it will take to make independent AI assurance credible, scalable, and widely adopted.
The report cites PAI's “Documenting the Impacts of Foundation Models” & "Risk Mitigation Strategies for the Open Foundation Model Value Chain." Our research also helped inform the taxonomy of monitoring categories, ensuring that societal impacts are part of post-deployment AI monitoring.
New guidance from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) on “Challenges to the Monitoring of Deployed AI Systems” is now public, and we’re glad to see PAI's research helping shape it. nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/ai/...

1️⃣ What are the stakes?
2️⃣ How easy is it to reverse an action?
3️⃣ How much autonomy can we afford?
We’re proud to share PAI’s 2025 Annual Report.

We’re grateful to our speakers for sharing insights, to JPMorganChase for partnering with us, to the PAI team for making the convening possible, and to the many guests who contributed to such a thoughtful exchange.
These conversations will continue in just a few days as we head to the India AI Summit, where implementation, coordination, and impact will be front and center. We’re looking forward to building on this momentum with partners across regions and sectors.
Human-centricity - Assessing safety means looking beyond model risk to use-case risk and real-world impact. Governance efforts must account for consequences to customers, workers, and end-users when systems fail.
Dynamism - AI’s pace of change is testing static approaches to risk management. Enterprise governance needs to evolve toward more adaptive, continuous models that reflect how quickly AI systems and uses change.
Collaboration - Responsible AI is a competitive advantage only if organizations are operating to comparable standards. Progress depends on alignment across companies, regulators, and the broader ecosystem on risks, roles, and what “good” governance looks like in practice.
Integration - AI isn’t just a technical upgrade. Speakers emphasized the need to treat AI as a paradigm shift that reshapes enterprise capabilities, decision-making, and accountability.
PAI’s Enterprise AI Governance Forum, co-hosted with JPMorganChase, brought together leaders for a day of candid discussion on what responsible enterprise AI governance actually requires in practice. Across the discussions, we heard 4 facets of responsible enterprise AI governance. buff.ly/r1HCV7Z
