Munetaka Murakami has made his first adjustments, and @jrfegan.soxmachine.com says he's turning into the skid. Shortening his hand path? No. Lengthening his leg kick? Yes.

Last week Munetaka Murakami seemed like he was making some tweaks to better stay back on secondary pitches. This weekend, safe to say he saw some results.

A cap tip to @chuckgarfien.bsky.social for the topic: Can Munetaka Murakami be the next Kyle Schwarber?

The A's are long gone, but I think they could hear the profanity Jacob Wilson yelled after popping up that hanging slider to the end the game all the way back in Oakland.

Braden Montgomery made a swing tweak and is now mashing. Asked about it, Montgomery pointed out that life is a constant stream of tweaks and adjustments and this is just the latest in an inconceivably long chain.
Which, yanno, valid point.

Today's game recap on @soxmachine.com:
White Sox were up 5-0 in the second inning, but couldn't hold on as they lost in extras in Sacramento.

When enough coaches who have seen thousands of players come and go say Sam Antonacci is wired differently, you have to look into why that is. Or at least @jrfegan.soxmachine.com has to.
Six-straight home losses is both embarrassing but also not close to some of the awful stuff the White Sox have done in recent years. Best of both worlds!

Miguel Vargas is swinging faster, chasing less and whiffing less. He’s still struggling. All the White Sox hitters are struggling. Even Munetaka Murakami is doing well but whiffing enough on breakers that he had to alter his leg kick.

Here's a review of last night's debut, where an over-amped Noah Schultz got by, but left plenty of room to introduce the rest of his game. soxmachine.com/2026/04/noah...
Sam Antonacci's extremely intense style of play often forces disjointed responses, so it's kinda fitting that his promotion to the White Sox has an out-of-sorts feel to it.
Noah Schultz looked pretty good for someone who didn’t really have his best pitch and only used one side of the plate, as @soxmachine.com writes
