If we didn't know he was sus from the start you could totally buy him being innocent in the flashbacks in CoS. He never came across as creepy either. Very arrogant and all that but never slimy and creepy.
This! He not only fit the part physically but also his acting was spot on. He deserved to have this great opportunity since he could've showes off his acting more in HBP (especially of they hadn't so much of TMR's memories).
I only found this out a few months ago and was disgusted but, frankly, not shocked.
At that point he hadn't aged a day since CoS so the age excuse they gave at the time is absolute BS. Even if he looked a bit older than he should he would've still been better than whatever we got in HBP🤢
This saddens and enrages me deeply. Ofc what I saw was from screenshots of a reddit comment thread but it does sound very believable.
