My morning constitutional along the Chicago lakefront a few days ago. It was lovely. Then I had knee surgery this morning for a torn meniscus. I hope I can resume my lakefront walks soon.

My next book, Romancing the Butch, a Butch-femme lesbian romantic comedy, will drop on February 6, so I’ve rounded up random facts about Butch-femme lesbians. 1: the term Butch emerged in working class lesbian bar culture in the 1940s and 1950s. More random facts coming your way.
A colorful background, including blue, orange, red, and yellow, with a book cover in the foreground. The book title is Romancing the Butch. The illustrated cover depicts of white woman with short blond hair. In the top left corner is a circle with the words Pre-order on Amazon today! in it. On the colorful background are words stating the various tropes to be found in the story, such as Butch-femme, Slow burn, Wise lesbian moms, Introverted, shy butch, One night to forever, Opposites attract, and Messy femme. At the top of the picture are the words “What happens in Vegas … might lead to true love.”
This is the 3rd book in my Going to Chapel lesbian romcom series. The series follows different couples as they make their way to the altar in Las Vegas. Official release date is February 6.
I made these sweet potato rolls for a Friendsgiving gathering my wife and I went to last night. They and all the other food were soooo good!
I enjoyed writing On Track for Love, my first lesbian/sapphic Xmas romance, I wrote another one, now on preorder.
I need to get better at posting on ALL social media platforms when I write a thing, like this:

Ad for a new Christmas holiday lesbian romance short novel called On Track for Love. It has a light blue background with white snowflakes on it. In the foreground is the book’s cover that depicts a snowy landscape with railroad tracks and the author’s name, Elizabeth Andre. There are also words stating the various tropes found in the story, such as interracial, love after 40, enemies to lovers, and slow burn.
My new release is doing pretty well, but I bet it can fit on more e-readers.
I periodically take breaks from social media. I just ended one of those breaks a few days ago. I got a little baking in a week ago. Made a pumpkin gooey butter cake for a party. It was a huge hit. How are things with you?
Dark romance seems to be a thing now. My take: Het dark romance tends to be creepy. Sapphic dark romance features women being badass, and I love it. Gimmee.
On Sunday, I had friends over for my birthday. I invited guests to read their own writing or that of others. Poetry, prose, song lyrics, whatever. It was eclectic and electric. Age range was 25 to 65. Gay, straight, cis, trans, married, single, and poly. Joy and community. A wonderful gift.
Oh he knows. He doesn’t care and he doesn’t like it.
It’s Sunday night and just in case it’s not clear:
I support LGBTQIA rights.
The T is incredibly important.
The B is not silent.
Last of the equipment I need for my at home DIY audiobook recording studio built in a closet arrives Monday. I can’t wait. Yes, I’m planning a ribbon cutting for this auspicious occasion.
Making progress on my coat-closet-into-audio-studio project. I’m keeping most of the coats in there for sound absorption. I placed a couple of old rugs on the floor, again for sound absorbing. Today I’ll start placing from foam acoustic panels on the walls. I’m excited!

More on my Substack. This one’s short and sweet. I hope you like it.

My latest project isn’t writing though it’s writing related. I’m turning my small coat closet into an audio studio so I can finally work on turning some of my books into audiobooks, finally. Hooray!
These are going on to my TBR pile!

Photo of Apple-cranberry slab pie on parchment paper in a baking sheet. It has been baked in the oven so crust is browned and has been sprinkled with coarse sugar.
Having dinner with friends tonight. I was asked to make dessert so here’s apple-cranberry slab pie just out of the oven. My wife says it looks like a giant McDonald’s hand pie. She’s not wrong. 😝

It occurred to me just now that I haven’t properly introduced myself. I’m a writer of lesbian (or Sapphic, if you wish) fiction. Mostly romance although I’m starting to branch out into romantic comedy, paranormal mystery, and cozy fantasy.
