We cant keep pretending that economic power and political power are somehow different. We cant regulate the power of economic elites or private interest groups while also allowing them to get limitlessly wealthy.
Wealth is power.
It's so obviously stupid. It's common sense to literally everyone.

"Capitalism can work, guys! This is definitely an anomaly of capitalism and not a recurring or inevitable outcome, come on guys you gotta believe me!"
-60% of the population
Why is it so hard to convince people that capitalism is what it does, and what we have is what it is. Its future wont change.
Why are we acting like economic power and political power are somehow different.
We cant regulate the rich. We cant enforce laws on them. Their wealth is their governing power. Just because we dont call them the government doesnt mean they dont directly govern our country, even without the USG.
Egad. Shocking. Wow. I. Cant. Believe. They. Would. Do. Such. A. Thing.
No more billionaires. No more multimillionaires. No more corporations or private interest groups governing our entire economy as their private property.
Power Abuse Disorder is the rule. There are few exceptions, and we cant build a society upon the hope for uncommon exceptions.
That is literally the foundation of this country
We cant continue to pretend that economic power and political power are somehow different. Just because we dont refer to multi-millionaires, billionaires, corporations, etc. as "the government" doesnt change the fact they literally govern the wealth of our country.
No more limitless inequality.
Why are we trying to figure out how to regulate the power of the ultra rich while allowing them to amass limitless wealth? As if money isnt power?
Why not just make it illegal to get more than like 10x richer than the poorest person? Why not make corporations part of the public democratic process?
With the help of the Sandy Hook families, The Onion has reached a long-awaited deal to take over InfoWars.
We've enlisted the help of @timheidecker.bsky.social, who will be InfoWars' Creative Director.
Please stand by for more.
Why do we try so hard to regulate the power of the economic elites while allowing them to get limitlessly powerful? It's genuinely insane. It's just so obviously silly.
Why do we continue to pretend that economic power and political power are somehow different?
Depose the economic elites and their private institutions of autocratic economic governance, then make limitless wealth inequality illegal.
Just because we dont call them "government" doesnt mean they dont literally govern our economy, legislation, and policy. It is so absurdly obvious.
There is no point in claiming that the purpose of a system is to do what it constantly fails to do. The purpose of a system is what it does.
Over half a century of endless corporate victories. Not a single win for the people. The rich kept growing their power.
Your faith in the system is fanatical
If a known killer of thousands aims his weapon at you, or at anyone, is it justified to take his life? Is that self defense? What if his weapon is a bureaucratic machine? A corporation? A health insurance company?
How many human lives is the profit of rich men worth?
I am genuinely asking you.
All attempts to regulate the economic elites have failed. Economic power is political power. Undemocratic economic institutions β corporations, investment firms, billionaires etc. β cannot be allowed to exist. Just because we dont call them "government" doesnt mean they dont govern our country.
The first and most effective form of propaganda is repetition. If you can repeat the same message in as many different mediums as possible, it becomes social fact.
Every additional transaction raises GDP. Subscriptions, rent, healthcare, etc. It's incredibly profitable to create problems and then sell the solution to those problems. No amount of regulation can fix the fundamental inefficiency of the profit motive. It's just so obvious.
Because propaganda is very easy and very effective. If anyone stopped to think about what "profit" actually is, it doesnt take much to figure out that profit is inherently inefficient. Something like solar is drastically less profitable than oil which needs extraction, refining, transportation, etc
Egad
Crazy choice of screenshot for him to say that. Guy holding signs that say "stop the genocide" and "stop killing children" with no context.
Interesting that a zionist would get defensive about that π€ the signs dont say "israel" or "palestine"
6 years ago, a non union Lead Carpenter job posting would get paid between $30~40 and their only job would be to read plans and lead apprentices.
Now, a Lead Carpenter makes $30~35 and they are expected to do the work of a Lead, a Project Manager, and a Foreman.
Labor control. Raise the requirements and the workload while lowering the wage. If the requirements for lower level positions are raised, you get more qualified workers working in "lower level" positions. But you can just give them the same work they would have done in a "higher level" position.
Wow advertisement chain
Private wealth and power cant be allowed to grow beyond the power of democracy. The limits must not be soft, they must be absolute. Wealth must be redistributed according to a set ratio. All major economic infrastructure must be beholden to the public democratic process. Just look at my pinned post
We cant solve the problems of the present by returning to how things were. It is the circumstances of our past that have resulted in the present. We tried regulating the limitless accumulation of private wealth. It was just a speedbump on their path to absolute economic and political control.
While I agree, we can't forget how racist the FDR administration was. Japanese interment camps; no black veterans receiving any awards for their military service; bipoc veterans being excluded from the GI bill and any VA benefits; etc.

"The demon we summoned to destroy our enemies and grow our power has started to turn on us! We just need to go back to when it didnt do that! Going back to how things were definitely wont lead us right back to where we are!"
So true queen, go off. The slave patrol just needs better guardrails
Economic power is political power. The economic elites literally govern our economy as their private property and they control the government (gilens & page 2014)
The purpose of a system is what it does. We need economic democracy and a wealth cap ratio.
20 years until climate collapse.
"AI companies will provide UBI and universal healthcare" okay so the government. That is what a government should do. You know, a democracy, where the people have a say in the way society is governed. Not where we hope and pray that our AI overlords remain benevolent after giving them absolute power
