hitoshi sakimoto and yuzo koshiro did really well bringing their pc sound experience to console, and i think sakimoto's stuff especially reflects the harsh timbres that people associate with the genesis and 80s 88/98 music

I think the reason for that is the "GEMS-core" (???) pc98 music had come out in the 80s and overlapped with the pc88 quite substantially, so it isn't compared side-by-side with genesis music as often as the 90s stuff

This track & 5 others were re-used from the unreleased "NEVER ~Toki no Kanata de Dakishimete~" for PC-98. A re-imagined "NEVER" can be experienced on Ides User's Club Disk Magazine #003 & #004.

F&C's two English releases, ?*#@×!=÷ and #!@%*&/ are MTL apparently, but since BEEP's involved here I hope they know better than to do that.

I'm curious how they'll accomplish this; There's good tools for inserting text into ADV engine games now but I totally expect them to go the overlay approach.

An unfortunate end to my Tamagotchi diary, which didn't reach its natural conclusion thanks to my moment of inattention.

It might not have moved me to tears, but there is something properly magical watching these little fellas move around on a tiny LCD. This beepy egg has really made my past month.

9:30 PM:

Crap.

25th Jan

12:14 PM: I just timed the feeding intervals, and it's every 15 minutes. That's...not good.

Is this normal at age 18?

Connor is definitely not long for this world, though. Over the past day or so the feeding has become a lot more frequent.

More worringly, I spent two consecutive, detailed dreams watching my Tamagotchi die. I don't even know what the dying process looks like! (I was absent last time it happened)

Nothing new to report for Connor, who has been living a peaceful and uneventful life. I've been lax in looking after it (it wakes up at 8:30! I don't) but overall nothing catostrophic has happened.

12:08 PM: Success! My caring has paid off with it growing into a Mametchi, which is what I've been hoping for this whole time.

I asked my friends to suggest names, but only one of them gave a real name... so Connor it is!

13th Jan:

I dreamt that while rummaging through the trash for a disc drive i accidentally turned the light on for my tamagotchi while it was sleeping, and it died on the spot. Woke up in a panic.

12th Jan:

8:00 PM: I just noticed I let the hearts go down by 2. Damn! Everything else has been smooth sailing otherwise.

6:20 PM: My fella is back to a full discipline meter. Overall, it has been a lot less stressful maintaining it today than it has been up till now.

12:23 PM: Raised its discipline for the first time this evo. Interestingly, it started at 50% this morning.
