Very organised your Lordship ๐
Just having a read of your exploits in Munich from 1983 to see how much of a tearaway you were when you were younger ๐
I did laugh reading about the Englischer Garten and your encounter with a young lady and the towel ๐คฃ
How was your trip to Germany?
Last we heard you and Austin were enjoying the delights of Kรถln Hbf.
I've just come back from a lovely easter week break in Bavaria ๐ฉ๐ช
Thanks ๐ glad you liked all the pictures, Bavaria is an area I wanted to explore more of & it did not disappoint with so many beautiful towns.
I still have a big list of Bavarian towns that I want to visit so I'll have to return to Germany next year ๐ฉ๐ช
View from the inclined lift going back down was pretty spectacular ๐
Journeys end & also the end of my 10 day Interrail trip ๐ฉ๐ช
It was actually one of the new Railjets built by Siemens
Time to call the lift and head back to the station to take the Railjet back to Munich
Went through the rock cut passage
I saw there was an inclined lift that takes you up to the Castle which is included in the โฌ15 entrance fee
Kufstein ๐ฆ๐น
Rosenheim has #CrossBorderRail Regional Trains that run hourly to and from Kufstein ๐ฆ๐น so I hopped on one to go over the border.
Up next was a short journey back to Rosenheim where I had a mooch around
A stunning place and definitely worth a visit
Stadtmauer
Found a section of the old town walls that are still intact
Brucktor (Bridge Gate) ๐
Wasserburg am Inn
On the train home now and here are the highlights of my last full day in Germany #Interrail
I went to Wasserburg first as it was a 45 minute trek to the Altstadt from the station
