A very old meme. It originally had a meaning but it was often said for no particular reason. Nonsense young people said in the 1910s.
Well they didn't wanna hear what I had to say then... it was a lot more violent than 'ew'
I can ot emohasize enough how frustrating it is as a disabled person. I have been screaming this for 5 years, some people have been saying it for decades. It isn't hyperbole when we say the LITERALLY want us dead, they THINK OF US AS VERMIN. I'm begging you guys to understand
Abolishing ICE, let's say that actually happens, might prevent immediate violence but it will not stop the system that enables and encourages that violence to begin with. People will still be jailed indiscriminately for profit, human trafficking of immigrants will continue, etc.
I think a lot of you so called leftists need to start realizing it's not ICE, it's not Trump, it's not even the Christian Nationalist. The problem is capitalism - and the fact that your "government" is completely run like a business because the system we live in rewards the cruel.
lol omg AIDS Wolf mention ๐ if you think they were weird you chould check out Angine de Poitrine aah they're both so Quebec-core in their absurdity
@iwriteok.bsky.social Love the episode on Romana Didulo, just want to point out that Canadian Tire is much much bigger than what you implied. It's a HUGE company, they literally OWN the Hudson Bay. So the fact that she compared her 'money' to Canadian Tire Money is more ridiculous than you think.
You can discard him the moment he says "culture war" tbh, if you are calling opposition to genocides, occupations and physically dangerous bigotry a 'culture war' you are obviously completely unaffected by the actual fight that is happening everyday.
'Not the pinnacle' means not perfect. He's really just admitting loud and proud that the Nazis were good just not perfect... (Because they failed? Unclear)
Yeah but they call them NPCs for a reason, they genuinely don't believe that people thinking differently than them are having thoughts and opinions, they believe they are simply repeating talking points without looking into anything they are spewing - yes, as usual, it's projection.
That's wild, youre having him play this brutal sport, even in the 40s they must have known that repeated blows to the head could mess up a guy! To blacklist him, even after he's died ๐คฏ Maybe Smythe was bitter that he never took his advice.
Centrists (libs) need to realize that politics are a game to the people in charge. You will not win by appealing to their sense of morality. They don't change their minds when you make a good point they just see it as losing a battle.
Rightwingers need to realize that politics is not a fucking game you don't vote for people out of blind loyalty or to "own the libs". Politics has real life consequences for everyone.
1/2
Also of course Perez Hilton doesn't want us holding Tyra accountable, he doesn't want to be held accountable for the horrific shit he has said, done and continues to say and do.
Ecofeminism in one sentence:
The fight against gender oppression & the fight for the planet are the same fight, because they share the same enemy: systems built on domination, extraction, and disposability.
They never did, the power just gives them the opportunity to show it.
they had a responsibility to ensure the mental and physical wellbeing of the participants on the show. And we should hold all of them accountable. To say that it is disingenuous/racist when so many of her critics are black women and so many of her victims are black women seems wild to me.
accountable for his terrible treatment of participants on his shows" it was like "well if white men don't get in trouble for this then we should not hold anyone accountable for it". No. Simon Cowell. Tyra Banks. It doesn't matter who it was
I am so disturbed by that interview at the end of The House That Tyra Built, after all this the conclusion is not "hey we should hold Tyra accountable because it was her show and her responsibility to protect these young women, and we should also hold Simon Cowell
It sucks but remember that the point of a debate for most people is to WIN not to learn so they were most likely not going to absorb anything you said anyway.
Weirdo behaviour. I just think it's important to understand what our global neighbors are up to and how it affects us all. I hate when Canadians talk as if US politics won't affect anything in their lives.
They ALWAYS do this, why is the active noun the teenager? As if she had any agency whatsoever. This was done TO HER ffs.
Literally phrased like a movie synopsis.
"A 17-Year-Old was left vulnerable to exploitation" She WAS exploited, she was raped, tf?
too much of the economy now is not built around solving a problem or meeting a need
