Proud to share our review of sociodemographic data reported in 409 Canadian-led adult critical care studies (~6M patients).

Most reported age & sex, but far fewer reported other sociodemographic factors shaping who becomes critically ill and who benefits from the evidence.

Spent the morning at CBC Studios in Toronto, where we joined Matt Galloway on The Current.

We discussed the significant burden of sepsis—accounting for 1 in 5 hospitalizations—and emphasized the need for a coordinated, proactive approach to tackling it.

Sepsis is a hospital emergency, but what if we focus on where it begins: the community?
