I am so glad to see this account here. Yesterday, we finished watching the tv series on Kafka that came out last year, and I know I wouldn’t have considered seeing it had I not read some of the delightful Kafka quotes posted by this account. Thank you for making me see his sunny side!

Snowy path through trees framing a bright orange sunrise
Beautiful sunrise. But also looking forward to the mornings when the sun will rise earlier than 8.47am, when I took this pic.
You will be visited by three spirits…
✨ An outline.
✨ A synopsis.
✨ And a rough draft of a novel you keep saying you’re going to write.
Yup
Post someone you’ve been told you look like who you definitely don’t look like.
Half-timbered house, outside which stand mannequins of a man and woman in 17th-century clothing. Christmas lights are hung in the windows and along the roofline.
Oliver Cromwell's house festooned with Christmas lights. The man would be spinning in his grave, if he hadn't already been exhumed and dismembered.

Pessimist: The cup is half empty.
Historical romance writer: brb got to go research cups for several days
Word of the day is ‘librocubicularist’: one who loves nothing better than reading in bed.
(Not easy to say, but I’m glad to know it exists).
I had a little meltdown on Friday evening over just want to put in the middle and somehow – just as you’ve said – the thought of 10k blocks is so much less daunting! Cannot wait for the vid 👏
This pantser is about to try out the sequences trick by Alexandra Sokoloff for plotting and writing (yes, @rachelblackmore.bsky.social, I know - finally!). Hoping it can help me work out just what should happen in the middle of the story 😆

Agent: The cup isn’t a good fit for my list
Yeah, I suspect that’s my issue and why I react to this: I’m “all the vaccines, please” and cannot get my head around not being this way.
At least you now know to avoid this person throughout the winter months!
Gah! But still, there’s research and looking things up if you don’t recognise them?
🤦♀️
Hope the heating pad is working its magic and you got lots of words on the page.
Wonderful, thank you!
Hej from Sweden - would love to be added to this amazing pack. Thank you 😊

I read the book a few months ago but even so, I was confused by who was who and what they were trying to say with the film.
I struggled through to the bitter end but it took days (and felt like weeks). How did they make it so relentlessly dull when it could easily have been a dizzying rollercoaster of avarice and the misuse of power. There was so much to work with and yet the story they told was bland in the extreme.
I received that same model as a Christmas present and am so happy with it. The pretty watch faces, the competition on steps and intensity minutes with the rest of the family - it’s excellent 👌
Pens, like cattle pens, but then I’m British
