Photo of my sketch of Sue the T. rex's skeleton in front of the Sue mount at The Field Museum in Chicago. I was sitting on the floor for a few hours working on this and it was so annoying because they have an informative light show that plays on the skeleton periodically and I wouldn't be able to make out details during this 5-6 minute sequence. Also my legs kept falling asleep! Someone was taking photos of me working on it, I wonder if those ever made it online. Anyways, its a really awesome museum
I met Sue the T. rex in real life š„¹

MINT REVIEW 8: Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita node, Kokuhaku shitemita
The animation is bad, like a ppt presentation sometimes. However, the story is simple but great, saving what would be a mediocre anime. The healer and the demon enemy are the best, but the side characters are also cool. 6/10
The most bad-ass rebuttal from Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach.

Yesterday, Google chose to remove Doki Doki Literature Club from the Google Play Store. Their explanation is that the gameās content violates their Terms of Service in its depiction of sensitive themes. DDLC is widely celebrated for portraying mental health in a way that meaningfully connects deeply with players around the world, helping them feel heard, understood, and less alone on their journey. Managing to achieve thatāmaking a truly meaningful difference by using the power of fiction to connect to othersāis what Iām most grateful for. It inspires me every day to keep making cool new things, things that can really reach others, especially those in need of connection. DDLC is available on many different major platforms, including iOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and more. Weāre continuing to do everything we can to find a path forward for getting DDLC reinstated on the Google Play Store. Meanwhile, weāre also looking into potential options for alternate methods of distribution on Android devices. We worked hard to bring DDLC to Android, and weāve gotten to see so much love and enthusiasm from passionate Android users over these past few months. Thank you so much to the community for continuing to express your love and support for DDLC through the years. Weāll keep you updated on the future of DDLC for Android. - Dan Salvato and the Serenity Forge Team
A statement regarding the removal of DDLC from the Google Play Store:
it's really awesome that we're just in a period where art can't take risks at all on any level and that all of it needs to be sanitized to shit to even be allowed to exist in the eyes of paypros and the people in power
Two of our last three videos have been partially or fully demonetized.
Not for inappropriate content or community guidelines breachesājust because labels have unchecked power to claim revenue from us, and we dared to play several seconds of a song in both of those videos.
It's a pretty huge hit, and will make things really tight for us for a while. If you want to see those without ads and without any clips/music disabled (which we've had to do), you can watch them on Nebula:

Tough stuff, but we're keeping at it. Thanks everyone!
Got laid off from work yesterday, was the best job I had but hey that's the nature of the gaming industry. At least I have my sidelines to fall back to while I apply for a new job.
I'll be opening up commissions again once I get my current ones done over the weekend.
I'll be fine for the most part, the severance will help me get through a transitional period but if you like what I do and want to show support, I have my Ko-fi up:

MINT REVIEW 7: Jigokuraku (Anime)
The manga was already a simple story but executed perfectly in both in pacing and art quality. S1 of the anime is very close, but in a safe zone, which made it kindof alright. S2 got so much better. Hope S3 continues that trend. Recommended

MINT REVIEW 6: Trigun 3D
I'm conflicted. Including both Stampede and Stargaze. I read the manga, and that one is great, and i think Stampede, even with its changes, was on par. Cannot say the same with Stargaze, which felt a bit rushed and childish. The animation is great tho.

MINT REVIEW 5: Jujutsu Kaisen (ANIME)
Until now (S3), it has been peak, but now with my favorite characters doing awesome shit. The story is very good, a great adaptation, elevating the source material to greater heights. Can't wait for more, congrats to the team of animators and writers.
10/10
MINT REVIEW 4: Chainsaw Man (MANGA)
I've been following it since Part 1 it was released in Shonen Jump, always a fun and weird read, and in that sense, it didn't dissapoint. Although the ending felt rushed to me, I did like it and can't wait to see what Fushimoto does next.

"We see a future where intelligence is a utility like electricity or water and people buy it from us on a meter and use it for whatever they want to use it for. The demand that we see for that..." - Sam Altman

The whole "AI" industry is just based on the hope that they can deskill people fast enough that they'll have to rent back cognitive support systems. Forever.
It's like Uber. Just that they don't try to break existing transportation infrastructures but your brain.
Generative AI is not something that should be supported.
I'm hoping media companies realize that, even if they could lower production costs using Generative AI, it's not worth the outrage that would occur.
The cut costs would NOT outweigh the loss of profit from consumers.
Just do the damn work!
MINT REVIEW 3: IRON LUNG
Finally got to watch Markiplier the movie and I have to say, for a (technically) first, Mark did an amazing job. However, it felt a bit long in some places. If you liked the game, Markiplier or like eldritch horror/suspense, would recommend.
