i would definitely say give it a shot then. it's pretty easy to emulate atp. you have to patch it to uncap the frame rate but just google "drakengard 3 60fps" and u get a ton of links/guides for it. it is pretty easily my fave yoko taro game

basically every drakenier game references what's come before it release-wise but honestly you can skip both drakengard games+nier without missing much in 3. definitely not a nier replicant to automata situation where you miss a lot not playing the previous entry
