The insider DC sheets keep running articles about Democrats bewailing Bidens pardon. I’m able to keep a pretty close tabs on the opinions of engaged Democrats via emails to TPM. And the actual opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of the decision. In fact, more or less universal support.

It's as though Joe doesn't trust the next Justice Dept., which is dark bellwether for all of us.

Leave the World Behind Doesn’t Know What to Do With the Apocalypse Sam Esmail’s thriller takes a lot of liberties with Rumaan Alam’s novel, but its changes are all for the worse.

This is a pretty good summary of my take on the film:
"This feels more like a collection of cool ideas the writer-director jotted down and collected in a box rather than scenes that belong to the same emotional and consequential continuum." @bilgeebiri.bsky.social

"Leave the World Behind" with Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, and Mahershala Ali. Decent premise (hackers take over everything, including satellites) but the characters were flat and unlikeable, and the plot holes were gaping. Mahershala Ali was a bright spot, but I wouldn't watch it again. 2 stars.

Did you know BlueSky only has 20 employees?

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to those 20 warriors (who are working 24/7 to keep up with the incredible growth) for giving us a space to share.

We escaped hell to be here.

Thank you, @bsky.app & Jay Graber CEO (not a billionaire)

My souvenir was the Panasonic Way personal cassette player (Walkman) I bought from an electronics shop on Broadway in Times square for $105. That night I drove four hours home, and my parents still don’t know about it! So much could have gone wrong, but didn’t. NOW THAT WAS STUPID. (3/3)

to leave the car, and tracked down my high school friends staying at a nearby hotel with their uncle. We spent the day sightseeing in Manhattan: Empire State Building, Twin Towers rooftop observation deck, porno theaters in Times Square, etc. (2/3)

Today we were talking about dumb shit we did when we were kids. I recalled the weekend when I was 16 when my parents were out of town to care for my ailing grandmother, so I decided to drive the family station wagon from Baltimore to Manhattan, found a parking garage near Times Square… (1/3)
