In Chicago, where me and the person I am responding to are both from. Enforcement plummeted during COVID and did not really come back. It's for a myriad of reasons, from increased paperwork to studies showing significant cost and backlash related to racial profiling.
I really mean "since 2020, when many social contracts broke," but also it is pretty widely known that police stopped enforcing traffic laws, so... it's all one big danger soup. Driving is a hellscape and our prioritization of it is so odd.

I got in an argument with a local business because they claimed they tweaked a "real" photo with AI. The image included a hallucinated orb made of human fingers; I assume they just uploaded a real photo to butcher. Some training course somewhere is teaching people this lying copout language.
Marketing can be done extremely easily by amateurs without AI, we are in a golden era of digital tools... but also, local, indie artists are pretty affordable, and may even work for product or service trades. These people don't value marketing or artists, or they would know.
