From Brooklyn Navy Yard to Hudson River Park Trust, all contracts that allow ICE to operate or do business on city-owned land must be terminated. Our city cannot and will not be complicit in the Trump administrationโ€™s kidnapping of our neighbors.

It's so disgustingly nihilistic to send text after text from scam PACs fundraising off of ICE resistance they are not in any way supporting

The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old mother fatally shot by ICE, shows that ICE canโ€™t be reformed and must be abolished.

Iโ€™ll be introducing the Abolish ICE Act as a step toward justice, accountability, and humanity in our immigration policy.

Time to melt ICE.

Woman fatally struck by SUV in Lower East Side hit-and-run According to police, a black SUV was northbound on Clinton Street and turning right on Stanton Street when it struck the woman as she crossed in a marked crosswalk.

It is heartbreakingly cruel that a woman is simply walking across the street to get to where sheโ€™s going, and in seconds, sheโ€™s gone. Another SUV driver has killed an innocent person in NYC in a crosswalk. A family is about to have the worst holiday season of their lives.

FDR quote about providing enough for those who have too little, as exemplified by the man who did a photo op throwing away the belongings and shelters of homeless people.

This is actually my normal route but I had to go a different way without bike infrastructure if I expected to ride on a not frozen with ice surface.

Injustice visualized; Something I experience on a daily basis.

The amount of AI slop videos that YouTube pushes on the elderly person I take care of is alarming and infuriating. It's nearly inescapable on her feed and even when you watch a real video the next in the queue is always AI generated.

I hate being in a place where idiots like this tool can publicly broadcast their ignorant narrow vision while maintaining a high level of prominent societal influence.

Looks like one of many ways Adams is following in Trump's footsteps

How bad of a bowel obstruction did he give himself to prepare for the role?

Who Rides on the Sidewalk? To NYPD, Just Blacks and Hispanics - Streetsblog New York City The NYPD has ramped up its enforcement against cyclists for squeezing pedestrians, but in a very suspect manner.

In an investigation today with help from @jehiah.cz, I revealed racial bias in NYPD policing (what else is new?) and debunked their main defense of it! nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/12/08/w...

Maybe we need sci-fi authors to start writing stories warning about human compassion and the dangers of a prosperous society that looks to help all people and perhaps things will turn around ๐Ÿ˜‚

"Hey remember that dystopian Black Mirror episode? We are working hard to get there!" needs to stop being the modus operandi of our tech "innovation."

E-Bike Injuries Are Up 1,800%, But It's Not Actually E-Bikes: It's Electric Motorcycles The vehicles causing a recent spike in injuries and worse aren't e-bikes. Hereโ€™s why, our solution, and how to differentiate an e-bike from an e-moto.

Say it with me 3 times...

E-MOTOS ARE NOT BIKES
E-MOTOS ARE NOT BIKES

I've found zero engagement doing the kind of microblogging stuff I normally did in the past. I have many interests, but when you don't have a pre-existing audience/status, you get zero interaction even when you reach out to people within those communities. Political stuff I'll get some crumbs though

In New York State, the average annual spending per medicaid recipient was $5000 annually. Now that people like me are forced into the marketplace while still receiving a subsidy, the state will now be paying an insurance company nearly $7000 on top of the $6000 I'll be expected to pay next year.

I really hate political polls that don't give you an option for "neither" when given two options. Stop trying to make me falsely claim I would vote for Mark Cuban. When it presented Rahm Emmanuel as one of two terrible options I just closed the window and left it incomplete ๐Ÿ˜‚

I switched to foot shaped shoes some years ago and while I still have some work to do, my foot health is much better and my toes are happier now that they aren't crushed in everything I put my foot in. Waiting for more cycling shoes to catch up to this as well!

Exactly. I definitely shifted my focus away from the internet which is sad because I had found so many mutual interest connections in past places and now everything has to be hyper focused and usually from a marketing lens vs a genuine discussion or philosophical one. The real world has also shifted

It's a whole can of worms ๐Ÿ˜‚ photography on social media in general is seemingly a crapshoot these days when you can't get people to look at anything more than 2 seconds as they scroll. Trying to invite more interaction has been a goal of mine but as you can see I haven't succeeded much.

Thanks for the recommendation! I wish I could figure out ways to get feedback to see if I could improve or adjust in actually useful ways.

At this point I feel like the only way I can get interaction on my image posts if I leave out the alt text ๐Ÿ˜‚ I say this after doing extensive work on all my posts for no views lol
