I'm doing amendments to mixes, finishing-up my somewhat overdue book keeping, and wishing the snow would have settled more. North Yorkshire.

When Putin came to power, the Russian constitution was written such that he had a maximum of 2 terms. He just changed the system. Could Trump organise and the win a referendum to change the US constitution? Maybe he could.

...except that this might turn out to be a democratic inflexion point. It seems very unlikely that Trump will feel ready to hand it all over after 4 years. And he has the legal and legislative power now to make it happen.

This seems like a ninja move by China. Whilst the Trump administration is planning to flush America's global influence and soft power away with untargeted trade tariffs, China is extending it's global influence, by offering zero tariff trade to the poorest economies.
