As far as Jenrick knew, the HMRC are happy with Tice's tax returns and are not conducting an investigation. In fact, he may have paid too much.

Melissa Aldana "Filin" (Full Album Stream) - YouTube https://melissaaldana.lnk.to/FilinID

I think of Melissa Aldana as the inheritor of Stan Getz's beautiful warm sound. Have you heard her latest album, Filin?

Kuenssberg quizzed Jenrick about it on her show.

The new Steven Wilson mix makes it sound like beautiful jazz music.

Volume 1 is amazing, so I am looking forward to this. Why only streaming, though? I'd love to buy the CD. πŸ˜ƒ

The album, Zazu, her only one, is produced by Gary Katz and Becker plays on three tracks. It was the first time Fagen and Becker had worked together since Gaucho six years before.

We Dan fans have a lot to thank Rosie Vela for.

It's the crack live band mostly playing as live in the studio. Great songs as always. Becker plays bass and all the guitar solos and "sings" lead on one sleazy track.

It's a rare album that is just as good sequenced in reverse order.

Some days it's my favourite

I love it but it’s hard to find fault with any Steely Dan album, including the last two

My thoughts exactly!

Will City get a slap on the wrist, too?

Not a masterpiece? When every piece is masterful?

Love the Brian Duffy (who did Aladdin Sane) cover photo.

Quite. There is the timeline too. Drive-In Saturday was released in April and Mud's first top ten was Dyna-Mite in October 1973

Musically, it's based on fifties doo wop.

Arf!

I'm unconvinced. The loose drum style is more in keeping with Too High, Higher Ground, Boogie On Reggae Woman etc, than Cozy's upstanding dynamism. πŸ˜‰
