President @barackobama.bsky.social had an incredible appearance w @mayor.nyc.gov at a school. So heartwarming and therapeutic for the times we live in.

He x-posted it on platforms belonging to Elon and Zuck - but didn’t bother to share w the progressive community here.

On brand for him tbh.

Screenshotted excerpt from linked article reading as follows:

"In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side of him. At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop Mr. Obama’s plan to address the global climate crisis.

When colleagues warned the chief justice that he was proposing an unprecedented move, he was dismissive. “I recognize that the posture of this stay request is not typical,” he wrote. But he argued that the Obama plan, which aimed to regulate coal-fired plants, was “the most expensive regulation ever imposed on the power sector,” and too big, costly and consequential for the court not to act immediately."

Reporter: If you don’t have a deal by Wednesday, will you extend the ceasefire or restart attacks?

Trump: Maybe I won’t extend it… and we’ll have to start dropping bombs again.

I don't think they could've pulled that off so well. The ear thing is weird, but my guess is that he was hit by shrapnel, like glass from the teleprompter. The quote in the article from Revelations about the antichrist getting a head injury that heals will have an impact among the crazies, I think.

AOC: Whether it’s people in the Epstein files still roaming free, or the president, a known rapist, continuing to occupy the White House, all of this has contributed to the normalization and the idea that incidents of harassment shouldn’t matter.

And I think today was an important turning point

Reading these “red lines” makes it clear the talks with Iran were basically theater from a US perspective.

(I’m only surprised they didn’t go ahead and throw in “Convert to Christianity”…)

The reality is that a significant number of Dems/Lefties would go for a mirror image of Trump on the left, too. Much fewer than on the right, IMO, but MAGA cultism is an outgrowth of some defect in fundamental human nature. We're seeing some of that with Platner and Swalwell defenders.

Lmao. Yeah, how were those "balanced budgets" under Reagan/Bush? The only economic difference between MAGA and Reagan is that Trump likes tariffs, but that's really just a lever for him to exert power, not actually part of his economics.

Okay this isn’t really happening anymore so I can tell you how l had “internal ICE sources”: the 3000 very stir-crazy ICE agents were all going wild on Minneapolis Tinder. Local girls would match with them and string them along for intel. They loved to brag about what they were doing all day

The right is intentionally buying avenues for community on the left in order to destroy those communities. Twitter is the biggest example, but it's stuff like this too.

When we take back power, I do not want unity or healing, I want revenge.

I also don't want a lecture on "but that's just like Trump, he wanted revenge." He was wrong, we are right. It's different. Get a moral compass.

Revenge or sit down. Call it "justice" if you must, it's that too.

Israel reacts to reports It bombed synagogue in Iran The Jewish representative in Iran's parliament said Israel had shown "no mercy" to his community during Passover.

Just to underscore a point: Israel does not "keep Jews safe." Iran is home to one of the largest Jewish populations in the ME outside Israel, yet Israel is bombing the very neighborhoods where most Jews live. This week they bombed a *synagogue on Pesach.*

Garland dragged his heels prosecuting trump because he didn't want to look partisan. his overriding priority was not justice, but legitimacy in the eyes of republicans and the media.

Constitutional lawyer here. I don't think it would violate the Constitution for the VP/Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment, but the intended constitutional remedy for this behavior is impeachment & removal. The fact that that remedy is politically impossible is a scandal and a crisis.

Trump running roughshod over the legal restrictions on his power, combined with SCOTUS giving him absolute immunity for official acts, should be a wake-up call as to how restrictions on presidential power must be crafted. Some things can be stopped in court & reversed. Things like this cannot.

The bill has no preventative or enforcement mechanism and wouldn't stop any president crazy enough to a nuclear strike. Even setting aside that the current SCOTUS would likely strike it down bc of POTUS's constitutional CiC authority.

The only possible way of doing this is to set up a process that
