But these spray-edged Winnie the Pooh books 😭😍

At least one of us may have gone a little wild with the number of books we took 😏❤️
Manifesto, a very good dog, looks up at the bookcases in our shop. Alongside "Mutual Aid" by Dean spade, other titles are visible, including "Read This When Things Fall Apart" by Kelly Hayes, "The Revolution Will Not be Funded" by INCITE!, and "From the Ashes" by Sarah Jaffe.
A photo of the same bookcase as the first photo, with three copies of "Mutual Aid" in the center. The orange cover includes a circular callout that reads "new and expanded edition."
It would be hard to think of a more influential book over the last 5 years than Dena Spade's "Mutual Aid." It's a perennial bookclub pick, there’s an even chance it comes up in any conversation about local organizing, and we regularly hear customers enthusiastically recommending it to each other. 1/

Ok, maybe don't come in for an app today (3/13/26) because our power is out from the windstorm 🙃
We're currently hiring for one full-time sales associate position. If interested, please stop in the store & pick up an application (our tech is as dated as this reference, so you can't download an app online)

If you're near cbus, stop in the Bookloft Tues evening to meet him for a book signing
Springfield (eating the dogs / cats) Ohio desperately needs your help with ICE.
Ohio Gov Mike DeWine said it will be “the next Minneapolis” as 15,000 Haitians (1/4th of the entire city) will have their TPS status prematurely revoked Weds Feb 4th.

The Groundhog awoke the morning of February 2nd 2026 and opened his social media to a newsfeed rife with stories of the debauchery of the Ruling Class and man’s inhumanity toward man.(1/3)

Had a bookishly wonderful time in Columbus this past weekend, where I signed books for @thebookloft.bsky.social (and found the Lego reproduction of the store at Lego Land) & guested at a discussion of "Leave No Trace" with some wonderful readers -- one of whom made COOKIES! Good times, y'all 📚🌟🍪🐻
🚨 There will be a surge of activity, very soon, happening (semi) locally 🚨
A closed metal gate with lights strung across the top arch, about a foot of snow covers the path through the archway gate
Bluish pink sunrise sky, a 2 story red brick building - part of St. Mary's Grade school - is towards the back left, overlooking a dug out snowy brick pathway that's lined with snowballs
Small crew arrived 6am to start digging us out. If enough staff can make it in safely, we'll open. Still a level 2 out there so be careful.
Snow day! Sorry (but also not sorry) that we will remain closed during this level 3 snow level emergency.
What's everyone been reading during these snowy days?
You know your stuff lol
Due to the snowpocalypse, we will be closed today.
Our sincerest apologies to the inevitable young white dude who'd show up wearing only shorts & a hoodie
Going rogue here to say, even if we're open tomorrow for some insane reason, please stay home.

Temperatures are brutal put there. Please, be careful. Of course, warming centers aren't a solution to a systemic problem but they can save lives.
