I assumed. (Was a little tongue in cheek for the local cartoonists in the crowd π«Ά)... Less is better, to be sure.
This is fair - I would make one exception (as one who uses labels)... Local politics. There is far less certainty that the readership of a small town knows what their town council looks like... Shockingly antithetical as that seems. (Solidarity with my small town cartoonist peers!) π
A rural street with a sign indicating you are entering the town of Dorking.
I think there's a UK version, too, but I grew up a short drive from Dorking, Ontario.
The degree to which this looks like my high school job at a used video game store is staggering.
The visceral reaction I feel for my first job in high school (working at one of the first video game stores in Canada)... This looks so much like that same era display and shelving. Wild. Love it
You could use crayon to make comics. I love that he made big superhero books (spending a lot of later time with Batman), but also made really good personal stories (Zero Girl for example).

I regret not buying the Maxx artist edition when it came out. He and his work will be missed. (3/3)
Keith's work is singular. Some artists make great comics... Sam made great art. His art also happened to be comic books. I remember seeing a photo of an original page with crayon on it and just feeling like something was unlocked... (2/3)
A drawing of cartoonish Sam Kieth sketching with a speech bubble showing an image of his character The Maxx
RIP Sam Kieth
...
I got to contribute to "Image Grand Disaster" a few years back. Inspired by Cartoonist Kayfabe, I riffed on Piskor's "Hip Hop Family Tree" and told the Image story. Part of doing that was getting to allude to the second wave, and naturally I chose Sam Kieth (1/3)
If you're willing to go for the more indie-type books... Zero Girl or Ojo... There are pages out there in the "affordable-ish" range... For what it's worth. (It was my solution to finally get a Kieth on my walls)
It had to be invented somewhere with free healthcare...
With no context, I am absolutely assuming this is a "My Pet Monster" situation.
A curling stone in a pond, you say? Have I got a movie for you...
On my to do list... π«Ά
You'd want the jump shot of Dig 'Em Frog, surely?
They either REALLY don't know (and I worry), or they DO know and don't care (and I worry more).
If you can't find a copy, and are genuinely interested, feel free to drop me a DM and I will mail you a set of DVDs... Big fan of your work, sir.
"That is because you are a common man" π - I love this show (and love that this was done with governmental finding)!
As if anyone needed MORE reasons to delete Spotify... π¬
And accidents happen... But I would be offering solutions, investigating ways to make it up... Because if I ruined something important - I won't just want an acceptance to my apology, I will want to make it right. (If I can).
I was asked to draw a poster for a screening in Toronto, and studied them all last year to try and bring some cues in from the specific coloring styles. It's such a specific snapshot era for comics (and those titles by extension)
He didn't do all the art, it's actually a who's who of artists... Mike Allred, Quesada/Palmiotti, Chuck Frazier, Jae Lee, Dave Johnson, Brian Stelfreeze, Cully Hamner, Adam Hughes, J. Scott Campbell, Kirk Van Wormer, and frogartistwhoshallnotbenamed.
An amazing recap of another great year of one of the best podcasts anywhere.
Check it out, and catch up before the next round of brilliant shows starts dropping in January.
It's good you had something to remind him...
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isnβt Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains
An image of the three members of RUN DMC in Adidas tops, with gold chains.
You will be visited by three spirits.
Gin Blossoms in the bottom right and Rage Against The Machine for the guy destroying the copier.
Not sure on others... REM for the sleeping one?
Ironically, at the end, they are brought closer together for the holidays... So, maybe?
You weren't talking to me... But I was coveting your GO7 hat (I was further to the right - and don't wear hats - but it was SO snazzy!)
