Clear difference in quality between teams today. Thought Cumming + defence did ok, but not reliably shielded by midfield and couldn't release pressure by effectively moving and holding the ball up the pitch. Little fluidity, creativity or confidence today in possession (some from Edwards late on).

Think you could prob balance ambition with some sentiment. And time, I guess, will tell about whether being ruthless creates sustainable success. And don't think recent results reflects Des' ability to manage. Hope he gets another shot somewhere where he can be judged on more level playing field

Ashamed that Des has gone. And, to put aside for a moment what that says about the clubs ownership and move on to who next. I'd say Robins would be a sound choice

Agree we'll learn and bounce back. And trying to think of times I've seen us concede more than 5. Missed the Wigan defeat, but was there at Cov last year, and old enough to remember a 6-0 defeat at Anfield.

They were just super clinical. Fast in transition when they won ball back. Defensively we were caught a bit flat footed and they took advantage. Best team won, but am confident we'll learn from that one and bounce back
