I've been getting back into writing for this exact reason. I want to contribute more like I used to, but life has been kicking my ass 😭

The pipeline from "this makes me uncomfy" to "this is not allowed to exist" is dangerous and REAL. There is value in sitting with discomfort and confronting/unpacking your own biases. People are so afraid of their own "icky" feelings that they would destroy art and other people to remain "safe."

I recommend getting a wide chair! it let's me put up my legs or sit criss cross in it when I get uncomfortable. also, unfortunately, they are pricey (but if you're willing to pay, get one of the nicer ones).
