ohhh I gotta go read that! If only so I believe that hockey curses can be broken

A handful of years ago Nick was “the future of epic fantasy” w/Mercenary King trilogy. Starts w/ THE KINGDOM OF LIARS. Is great.
Now, curtain rises on Act II, w/ Nick’s editor comparing him to Ray Bradbury.
Different comps, same great Nick. TERMINA STATION will have you missing your train stop.
Out of all the other teams in the league, I actually have nothing against the Sharks, but sadly i can't quit the leafs. I gotta go down with them.
Think I was more upset about the Canada loss in the Olympics than whatever this disaster of a season was honestly
Thank you!!!
So, I’ve got a new book coming out from Saga Press soon 😁
Should have something to announce this weekend, which is cool and fun and exciting, and also like ‘oh man this book I’ve been working on for a long time is about to be REAL.’
Social media is beset by a tidal wave of publishing misinformation, fuelled by bots and platform-farming and algorithms that favour outrage. With special guest Donyae Coles, Sunyi and Scott discus how on earth we can walk the line between being honest, while not fueling an atmosphere of misery.
Nominated for the Philip K. Dick award!
THE IMMEASURABLE HEAVEN, @caspargeon.bsky.social 's reality-bending SciFi that reads like a fable from another galaxy, and features an entirely non-human cast!

I kind of wish I went to Helsinki Worldcon now just to say I’ve been to the three longest Worldcon
thebookseller ig account saying NEWS: some editors uploading confidential manuscripts to ChatGPT to read quickly, agent claims
the guardian: I wrote a novel using AI. Writers must accept artificial intelligence – but we are as valuable as ever | Stephen Marche
the walrus bsky account: Authors are using AI. Publishers know it. And now, says publishing consultant Thad McIlroy, authors are being forced to lie about it. One cancelled horror novel didn’t just end a career—it exposed an industry-wide reckoning.
idk guys when i see a lot of similar headlines insisting that editors & authors are all already embracing AI, i don't assume these things are true. i assume there are a lot of very rich people with an unpopular product pushing a particular narrative in my industry!
That exchange is actually kind of hilarious. Did they really DM you just to pick a fight 😂 like why
Oh yeah 💯. This one was a bit outside my normal wheelhouse so it’s always nerve wracking to do until you know it hits
I really enjoy the later editing process of a novel where it’s kind of like dealing with a house of cards. Already steady and strong so every edit is carefully done, and while it takes longer than just dumping words—the book comes out so strong afterwards
Anyway, I really like my next book
not yet, I’ve been waiting to hear how it controls before committing. apparently it’s super weird
are you playing crimson desert
We’ve got an internal one. Very early 2027. I think they’re waiting for the cover to be done before announcing it all
yeah it reminds me writing last minute essays in the computer lab before school
Maybe we need to return to the old school posting queries and waiting by the mailbox for answers. better than jumping every time I‘d get a new email tbh
Wow! Oh yeah I think that panel was maybe the…second or third I’d ever done? Crazy to think back on it. And thank you so much for the support! Means a lot. Truly.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed you like this new book. It’s def a bit weird to describe at times 😅
…But I also think it’s the best thing I’ve ever written? I’ve missed the feeling of something new being out there but man oh man I haven’t missed the anxiety.
I’ve got a new book coming out soon, the first in a bit for me, and I’m already starting to feel the pre-release nerves as it becomes more REAL.
Esp since it doesn’t fit neatly into an established genre as my previous work did. This leans more toward ghibli esque horror than epic fantasy…
Just in time for tonight’s Oscar festivities, my Ten Best of 2025.
Right this moment, I’m posting with the films listed, and I’ll be going in to add comments to each entry later, and will re-post when finished.
There’s one movie to rule them all from 2025, and that’s Sinners.

I’m a leafs fan, and have always loved watching him play tbh. Always felt like he got the short straw with all the issues in toronto
noo i don't have seasonal depression ha ha it's just that i can only attain true joy when the windows are open and the sun is slanting in?? it's a different, more special & artistic condition
Yeah it’s terrifying how young people are starting to get colon cancer these days. They're lowering the age for screenings nowadays from what I’ve seen
Hey, my book's on sale. Go grab a copy for cheap.
…rabbit hole. But the urge is great sometimes. That series will always hold a special place in my heart, but, inevitably, I think I have to leave it be to continue to grow as a writer.
Side note: Its going to be hilarious to see people’s reactions to Roger Summers vs Michael Kingman tho
…go back and tweak my debut series. A Reloaded/Royal/Author’s Preferred Text version where I clean up some things. Fix a regret or two.
But I’m left wondering, if I did that, when would I stop? Would I tweak it again at 40 if my style changes again? 50?
It just seems like an endless…
As I finish up edits for my next book, it’s kind of alarming to see how much my style has changed since I wrote the Kingdom of Liars in my early 20s.
I genuinely don’t think you could tell they were written by the same person.
And there’s a part of me that can’t help but want to…
