Blogatog I want to speak out against the whole push towards DEI. I feel that ever since you made the push to make identity the forefront of a character it has hurt the stories you tell. Captain Sisay's race w…

This made me an even bigger Mark Rosewater fan than I already am. Thank you @maro254.bsky.social for everything you do for the game I love. For the folks that follow me who don't play #mtg , it's worth a read.

Got a rules question for the #mtg crowd: confused about one of the rulings for Enduring Curiosity re: copies. My assumption is that copy goes to the GY, where it stops being a copy. Anything in the CR that would help me understand? Thanks in advance!

My colleagues and I submitted 3 separate manuscripts in November to different peer reviewed journals. Last week, Colleague A's paper was rejected; this week, Colleague B's. Any bets on whether we'll go 0 for 3 this month???

Determined: A Science of Life Without Free Will - Wikipedia

Recently finished reading "Determined" by Sapolsky, a book about our (alleged) lack of free will. Although several of the chapters were a bit esoteric, it was overall a fascinating read that made some profound evidence-based arguments.

Saw a lot of great papers today putting together some of the sessions for the Work Stress & Health conference. Thanks to all the program committee members for their continued hard work, I'm excited to see all the amazing talks this summer.

If you’re going to do research in organizations, by all means, strive for the best research design you can. But expect some compromises to fit org realities.

Not my area of I-O, but likely two interrelated or nested competencies. Gotta first recognize the problem (+ its nuances) and then generate the options that (eventually) need to be decided upon.

FFVI is so good! I try to replay it (bi)annually if I can. Lots of fun characters, soundtrack that slaps, surprisingly poignant plot and themes, choices that matter, a squid frenemy w/ bad puns, friendship between an abominable snowman and a bat-bear thing, and magic mech suits. What's not to love??
