The Guardian's review of Aubrey Plaza's animated cat show? Oof! They really, really hated it.
With this cast though, could it be that lousy? Maybe their bar for Bojack Horseman knockoffs is simply too high.

Missed this news yesterday. I’ve never thought of The Strokes as a political band, but it’s never too late, I guess.
Also a random anecdote: I damaged the hearing in my left ear at one of their concerts in 2004. Forgot earplugs and was too close to one of the speakers. It was a loud gig.
It’s not always like this, but it’s all too common. They act like the band is just a jukebox in a bar.
I’ll never get why someone wants to pay 30+ Euros to shout over music instead of just going to a bar, cafe, etc.
Makes no sense.
* In regards to the term Boomer, I realize many Gen Xers are now over 60. The average age in the crowd was probably mid 50s.
So, in this context, Boomer = pompous and privileged person of at least middle age who is incredibly rude (and capable of hurting the feelings of faux rock Gods).
But the three guys who came dressed as Morrison didn't share his fervor. They too spent much of the show chatting.
Should I have stayed home and just watched the Oliver Stone Doors movie? Probably.

But there were some folks up front who honestly seemed to be enjoying the show. One guy was in a "Break On Through" t-shirt with a huge Morrison tattoo on one arm.
He was in near religious ecstasy the entire time and was pretty much laying on top of the stage monitors at one point.

I'm now of the opinion Dutch people will talk through *anything*, even the Apocalypse.
If the Four Horsemen show up, they'll *maybe* look up from their biertjes and go right back to discussing the interest rates on their mortgages.

Even though there's several actual wars going on and Jim pretended to get shot dead, they talked through this too. They gave him 20 seconds of silence before going right back to their conversations.
It could have been a poignant moment given everything going on in the world but, nope.

I was just there for a lark, but even I was getting ticked with the crowd as they chatted through "The Unknown Solider" after Jim told them, "Be quiet, we're going to do something serious."

The Dutch Boomers in the crowd that night really seemed to have hurt "The Lizard King"'s feelings and who can blame him? He was working his ass off and in tight leather pants no less.
As far as Jim Morrisons go, this one was pretty great. I'd give him a 9 out of 10 Mr. Mojo Risin's.
