Shareholders will keep squeezing every last dollar from AI, so they have to keep up the hype. I wonder what the “worth”-income ratio is for all these startups…
From the local college club I helped volunteer a bit. Definitely a blast and sad I missed you!
Sweet! any details about the balloon build? I'm super interested in building a balloon.

this is what people mean by trans genocide
if a type of person does not officially exist, then any harm against them cannot be measured or reported
this headline change isn't even being caused by an executive order
it's simply the NYT editors deciding we don't deserve to exist

Wow! Great stuff 😊
Diablo 2 UI.
Diablo 2 and Maybe Old School Runescape. I think I'm just a sucker for monsters and statues holding orbs of my resources lol.
Our book is about building a compiler for a toy, compile-to-Wasm language.
At some point, we starting wondering…what's the smallest possible WebAssembly compiler? Could you make one that fits in tweet? 🤔
The answer is yes!

One of my favorite artworks is this Navajo woven depiction of the die of a pentium processor made by Marilou Schultz.
I was able to catch it! Great job Loren! It was nice to hear you articulate your thoughts more on it. I also love CAs and I think whats so cool about proc gen is the amount of layering of separate simple functions to get a final complex output!
Great work!! 👍
The main things you should at least be familiar with is C/C++, pointers, structs, and low level concepts like that. Also look at the platform architecture, since that's the assembly you'll be looking at (arm, x86, mips). Also the teams that decomp will likely have a discord with friendly helpers!
So I'd start by looking up any retro games you enjoy and see if there is anything that sounds interesting to you! I really like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, and there is a team working on Red Rescue team. Here is a great starting point for gba games www.starcubelabs.com/reverse-engi...
If you are interested in learning how compilers work and working on assembly, C, and reverse engineering, please consider helping decompile retro video games!! There is a lot of work to be done!
