Fact check: No UK prime minister has attended a US presidential inauguration Claims have circulated on social media that attach significance to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer not being invited to Donald Trump’s presidential

Even BBCNews mentions that the Prime Minister is not attending the inauguration of the new US President.

Fact is though that NO UK PM HAS EVER ATTENDED this event. Not Margaret Thatcher, not Tony Blair, not any of them.

This strikes me as an important detail.
