I’ll never understand why there isn’t better oversight and a way to get help, when you’re being seriously harmed by people in positions of power like this. They can literally get away with murder, or at least destroying people’s lives - they’re above the law.
So true. And SO exhausting. We’ve been in so many situations where we had to placate fragile doctors egos (even when they’re wrong or out of line) just to avoid getting denied care. The power imbalance in health care is real, and it’s enraging.
The information we have about the Iran War is incomplete and unreliable and it’s still clearly a debacle. The full story is likely much worse.

Climate scientists have landed on a new metric for understanding the climate crisis, and it's a sobering way of looking at the mounting effects of burning oil and gas.
It’s been such a great experience working on Civic Searchlight with @rorywh.bsky.social + @jameswsthomson.com, and getting to see how it’s being used by journalists, researchers, and advocacy groups. It’s an honour for the @nationalobserver.com to be nominated for it.
