“…he continues to lead both bands in his inimitable, scabrous fashion. His healthy use of the 'F' word has been edited for reasons of space.

You're doing a 35th anniversary tour of the Mondays' Pills'N'Thrills And Bellyaches LP.

Thirty-five years? Seems like 135 fucking years. It's funny. You gotta play the game….

Lovely detail in this month’s @mojomagazine.bsky.social interview with Shaun Ryder.

So to my office, but missing my key, which I had in my hand just now, makes me very angry and out of order, it being a thing that I hate in others, and more in myself, to be careless of keys, I thinking another not fit to be trusted that leaves a key behind their hole.

Every April, we celebrate Independent Bookstore Day to remind us how vital indie bookstores are to our communities and society. It’s a day of joy and solidarity, and significant financial impact for these bookstores.

This year, Amazon is undercutting that with a “Book Sale” on the same day—a calculated move by a company that has already put half the bookstores in the country out of business, controls over 60% of the market and sells far more books than all indie bookstores combined. The people at Amazon responsible for the timing of their "Book Sale" should be ashamed, but they are shameless.

Man, this is a pretty fucking gross move from Amazon, huh? Good on @bookshop.org for not mincing words, though:

Key quote for me: "There is still this idea that 70 or so road deaths a year in Wales is acceptable. But we would never accept 70 deaths a year on the ferry to Ireland, or on buses.”

In London in 2024 there were 110 road deaths.

These are equally unacceptable.

How can this photo not make you smile?
It fell out of a book on Monday when I was arranging the wall of books at my exhibition. So it must have been travelling around the country - on show but unseen - for 7 years now!
But who are you, little fella?
I hope you’re still smiling

Fifty years ago, a transport revolution started in #Zürich.

#Switzerland rejected urban freeways. Zurich decided not to build a metro. It began building an S-Bahn commuter train network.

And they gave *absolute* priority to trams over cars in center of Zurich.

The result?
