My next personal milestone for being impressed by AI is when it will be able to tell me which exact aisle an item is on at a specific grocery store.

The enduring legacy of Mad Dog McCree in my life is saying "one more, important thing" under my breath any time I remember one more important thing.
Scrolling through old visit notes and one of the doctors I visited when I was 11 listed my occupation as "student / computer" which pretty accurately describes how I spent my time at that age.
Photo of Amazon MP3 playing Toxicity and showing an album name is Two of a Kind Working on a full house
Amazon MP3 glitching and thinking every song is from an album called "Two of a Kind, Working on a Full House" is my kind of comedy.
The cultural legacy of The Dance is in fact more around death, but the death of a loved one rather than any American president or civil rights icon. I actually find it hard to listen to because I so strongly associate it with funerals.
The Dance is an all time great but has this corny music video about the "alternative interpretation" of the song being about dying for a dream, with footage of MLK and the crew of the Challenger and JFK. Which, ok, it was the nineties, but then there's also John Wayne? And a bull rider??
But the lesser known "The Night I Called the Old Man Out" tells the story of an abusive father earning the respect of his young son with the line "The blood came from my mouth and nose, but the tears came from his eyes" - uh??
And things get unhinged in other ways. Everyone remembers That Summer and may have raised an eyebrow when they first paid attention to the lyrics ("I watched her hands of leather turn to velvet in a touch" is certainly a memorable line).
Incredible pop sensibility of course, even on tracks that weren't hits. But #90scountry could really lay the melodrama on thick. Multiple variations on the theme of "woman loses her mind after she finds her husband died/cheated on her/etc" #garthbrooks
Signed back up for Amazon MP3 trial since they are the exclusive streamer for Garth Brooks catalog, taking the free month to re-explore some of the back catalog.

The nuanced work ritual of pulling a word from a Slack message that has a matching emoji and reacting with that emoji.
I expected you to say pedigree was becoming even less important, and I would've believed it. I don't claim to know either way, but the ex-big tech wariness has always been real, and the vibes seem to have shifted away from the name brand schools, but so much is probably context dependent.
A magazine list showing #37, Zohran Mamdani, age 11, asked for Books, FIFA 2003 and SimCity 3000 video games.
weβre about to find out if loving SimCity makes you a better mayor
Mamdani was asked in 2002 by NY Mag what he wanted for Christmas and said SimCity 3000
Screenshot of Google AI overview taking about renting a vehicle to transport large purchases from a hardware store in response to the query "vehicle to home hardware"
I'll miss the era of AI tooling earnestly and completely incorrectly answering our questions. It is kind of endearing. Today it was me searching for "vehicle to home hardware" (ie EV battery backup for power outages) and got recommendations for pickup trucks to haul large items home from Home Depot.
Father and son watching a typical Sesame Street segment together: ππ―
Father and son watching REM perform Furry Happy Monsters with the daycare monsters and a Muppet modeled after Kate Pierson on Sesame Street: π―π―
I finally watched Conclave. I like that Ralph Fiennes has the same energy as Kermit the Frog trying to keep The Muppet Show from going off the rails.
Word's attempts to determine how to handle the continuation or restarting of numbered lists when copying and pasting is truly chaotic.
Imagine finding definitive proof of intelligent life only to know there's no way to send a message and get a response in fewer than 240 years.
If they really wanted to inspire people they could've taken turns singing verses of "Imagine" while flying into space.
I need a filter that takes a screenshot and makes it look like I took a picture of a screen because I didn't know how to make a screenshot.

Reddit post in r/chapelhill: If Your Car Was Hit in front of Sup Dog today (4/13) ~ 1245pm I was there, and the driver was 100% Shane "ShaneOMac" McMahon. It was a black minivan with NY plates, and ShaneO was the operator. Assuming Sup Dog has cameras? We aren't from Chapel Hill, but I'm willing to relay what we saw. Good luck, and get your car fixed, he can absolutely afford it. It didn't look like he left a note.
Reply: Are you saying that Shane "here comes the money" McMahon of WWE lineage committed a hit and run with a minivan on Franklin in broad daylight? This reads like a fever dream but it's also too specific to make up. 1 Reply zeth2death OP β’ 13h That's exactly what I'm saying. I couldn't believe it myself. β zeth2death OP β’ 13h Also it was more like a hit and park. Because he just continually sideswiped the car while attempting to parallel park. And then he just got out and walked down the street.
chardzard β’ 12h Well it seems like his kid is a UNC football player, so it would make sense why he's here for the spring football stuff this weekend. https://imgur.com/a/fyGBYDX Reply Radirondacks β’ 7h Holy shit this could actually be real Imao δΈͺ reddiuser_12 - 3h Heres a pic from yesterday on his instagram, he was there: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DlaYeUpAhgj/? igsh=MWE4Nmk1MXh6MTJoOQ== zeth2death OP β’ 2h Sans the green jacket he was in that same outfit. It was absolutely him.

"It's going down into the house??"
"Well it's going down, out of the house, through the sewer."
"It's going DOWN, into the HOUSE??!"

You know what I could really use Youtube Music would be yet another variation on the Freeze Dance song.
