I feel like my first fantasy novel counts, just on the basis of my MC in that one being the most unserious woman on the planet, but maybe one day I'll do it on purpose LOL

As a result he keeps constantly egging her on to hurt him, trying to uncover her 'true motivations' and she keeps gently reminding him that SHE DOESN'T HAVE ANY she really does love him. They make me sick btw. I love them so much. (3/3)

They do form a genuine relationship with a woman named Sophrina, even though they're terrified they'll be betrayed by her and it's part of some twisted game to break his heart, since the rich have already done everything they can to break his body. (2/3)

#LateNightWrite Laz isn't scared of much bc of the whole 'not dying' thing but they do find it hard to have human connections since being a freak of nature has been known to make them a target. As such, truly trusting people has been something that comes with a lot of fear on their part (1/3)
