Then again, it’s easy to be biased towards assuming billionaires have a plan when, in fact, some people are just full of greed and hubris.

Billionaires buying up media companies is such a bizarre gamble. I get that in the short term, it means you can sway public sentiment. But the value you're purchasing is attention, and eventually people can just, like, stop giving that to you.

AI "visionaries" and tech "journalists"

Yep. And that has a ton of relevance to my current job. Can't begin to imagine translating something using an AI that doesn't know what cultural implications a word choice can have.

Same with copywriting. The outputs are so bland and unreliable that if I'm handed them to edit, I just end up rewriting them.
