Warren: "Why try to end independence of the Fed? Bc Trump's economic failures are causing him political problems, he wants the Fed to artificially juice the economy Having a sock puppet in charge of the Fed would also give the president access to the Fed's powerful authorities to enrich himself"

Also important to emphasize as these glasses will largely be used as a workaround against laws banning racial profiling more than anything.

Reports indicate Elon Musk controls a secretive network of over 90 companies and entities so he can hide how he spends his money.

No wonder he wanted the Trump admin to “look into” the Corporate Transparency Act, which would have regulated those companies.

Mayor Mamdani and a group of children hold hands while running through red tape in a hallway.

For too long, bureaucracy kept 7 child care centers across our city empty — spaces that should have been alive with laughter instead collected dust.

We've run through that red tape. This fall, all 7 will open their doors, bringing an additional 240 free 3-K seats & real relief to working families.

Ossoff: "You were talking earlier about Jared Kushner. The guy leading our diplomacy in the Middle East is bringing in billions from Middle Eastern princes and sheiks and going around the region asking for billions more while he conducts nuclear diplomacy on behalf of the country. It's obscene."

"In the place of problem-solving technology, companies have jumped on successive bandwagons like NFTs, the metaverse, and LLMs. What these all have in common is that they are not built to really solve a market problem. They are built to make VCs and companies rich."

The Last Woman Who Knew Everything: The Omnivorous Mind of Clémence Royer. When Clémence Royer died on February 7, 1902, she took with her into oblivion perhaps the last human brain that believed in and aimed for Complete Knowledge. She had devoted her life to the propositio...

French polymath Clémence Royer was born 196 years ago today. Now she is most known for her 1862 translation of On the Origin of Species which pushed Darwin's ideas into the realm of human evolution, but in her day she was celebrated for her encyclopedic knowledge.

Mysteries, Yes
By Mary Oliver

Truly, we live with mysteries too marvelous to be understood.

How grass can be nourishing in the mouths of the lambs.
How rivers and stones are forever in allegiance with gravity
while we ourselves dream of rising.
How two hands touch and the bonds will never be broken.
How people come, from delight or the scars of damage,
to the comfort of a poem.
Let me keep my distance, always, from those who think they have the answers.
Let me keep company always with those who say
"Look!" and laugh in astonishment, and bow their heads.

There was a very funny K drama all about this. Can’t remember the name but it was very well done. The ML practiced kissing with a male actor but eventually found he was able to break his antipathy/hysteria with the FL.
