We were not expecting this on our day-off walk yesterday.

Definitely not new, Liverpool have been doing it for years, and so you'd imagine some analysis was put into it. Kick off goes back to a player who hoofs it deep to one flank, often the left. Challenges the opposition defence to be sharp, and lets your own team settle into shape, for pressing etc
