Washington State's 5¢ rounding scheme has the middle always rounding up. Biased in favor of - - - - you guessed it. The business gets to keep the half penny. Unless you process A LOT of cash transactions, it really isn't much, but bias is bias. That half penny could have come out of the sales tax.
