Hm... reading more about the G tribe's history and it is interesting that they are largely descended from Allagan slaves forcibly relocated from Eorzea to Corvos. That has to have some sort of impact on their overall cultural identity, one would think.

Yes and no. G'senja is technically a deserter from the Garlean military and would face penalties for that if she ever returned to imperial territory.

Beyond that, she was also a member of the Garlean forces and participated in its activities in places like Doma. So there's that too

I'm leaning toward Persian as a primary influence for Corvos since that would seem to fit its overall position globally/culturally. Maybe some Greek elements? Unsure about that part, but I have at least a general direction now

Is there a general consensus among the Fandom as to which particular culture Corvos is based/primarily based on? Or is the SE writing so generalized/orientalist that its hard to tell? 🤔

following the Battle of Carteneau G'senja was pretty heavily injured, and after recovering she used the opportunity to defect from Garlemald and start over again in Eorzea.

No longer wanting to practice the BLM arts she was trained in before, she began to pursue Arcanist traditions instead.

Especially since the Corvosi lore it seems we have gotten is a really careless mishmash of lots of different SWANA regions.

Hm... another tricky thing in trying to develop more lore for Senja and Raha's childhood days is that Corvos lore is.... spotty at best and heavily stereotypical wt worst.

I'm thinking it would be best to pick one or two specific cultures to research and draw from, but not sure how to go about it.
