We spoke with Khn and Klek about their band Angine de Poitrine.
“The concept behind this project was to take a satirical approach to rock music. The double-neck guitar was the perfect choice to make fun of guitar heroes.”
I know this hockey thing is dominating life but I am still on the lookout for cool things happening on the weekend – not on the Bell Centre ice. Got any good ideas? If so, hit me up. Please. For Friday on My Mind. Of course.
We live in an anxiety-inducing world, from politics to our own finances to the stresses of daily life. But for a few hours in various bars & living rooms across the city, we were all just having fun watching the hockey team we love. Better yet, the #Habs won in OT with Slaf notching a hat trick.
Best. Ever. What. The. Puck. Video.
At Maison Publique McLeans Sunday night. Absolute pandemonium.
It's all happening.

Let's get it on! #GoHabsGo #TampBayLightning @tsn690.bsky.social
What the Puck! #Habs #HansNation
'So much excitement about this team': @mtlgazette columnist @brendanfromndg.bsky.social joins @eliasmakos.bsky.social to preview the @canadiens.com playoff run:
Here's my Friday on My Mind column. Cool things this weekend include the reopening of Le Caf'Conc', young rocker Declan EC, kids entertainer Raffi, Record Store Day and Palestine '36.
“I really just did it for fun and to underline the 50th anniversary of Je reviendrai à Montréal, my daddy’s song,” said Jérôme Charlebois. He covers the Robert Charlebois classic with a video chock full of classic #Habs archives.
The start of these NHL playoffs are generating more buzz for Habs fans than at any time since 1993, the last year the Canadiens won a Stanley Cup. And it's about time. Supporters have lived through decades of hardship. What the puck!
With the playoffs coming up and the most exciting Canadiens team in a few decades set to hit the post-season, can I politely suggest you read my book Habs Nation to get in the mood for The Run? Yes? Thanks so much. #habs #habsnation
Starting now, the last Habs game on TSN and RDS until the fall.
It's also the last game under RDS's 12-year contract with the Habs that gave it 60 games a season. Next year, it'll be 45 games, and we *still* don't know where the other 39 games will be broadcast in French.
The next High Fidelity is Saturday April 25 at the Wheel Club in NDG and you are all cordially invited. I spin great 80s new wave and old-school disco bangers AND YOU DANCE. Tickets $10 cash at the door!
When Crave acquired SNL UK, I wondered if this might be in the works... My pal who always complaints about how SNL is edited for the Global app will be happy. deadline.com/2026/04/satu...
This is the most exciting Canadiens team since... pick a year. I'd say 1978 or 1979. And the buzz is going into overdrive with just days until the playoffs start. So what better time to read my history of the Canadiens. Order Habs Nation here:
Canadiens win 4-1 to reach 106 points in 81 games, same point total as the Sabres atop the Atlantic and two points up on the Lightning. Buth BUF and TB have a game in hand. Canadiens will need to finish ahead in points as they don't have the tiebreak against either of them.
And the hits just keep on coming. A lot to celebrate but most impressive to me was how locked in Fowler was.
Yes but it’s Quebec. ROC likes to pretend we’ve already separated. 😖
Cole Caufield scoring 50 was a moment for the Habs Nation & no one personified that fervour better than Pierre Houde & Martin McGuire. This was not the time for calm, cool observation & analysis & Houde & McGuire totally got that. We needed to hear it told with feeling. That’s how we roll here.
Here's my Friday on My Mind column. Main item is the Montreal Clown Festival because, of course, we have a clown fest. Also Gala Dynastie, Festival de la Voix, Raye, and Deja Voodoo's Gerard Van Herk. montrealgazette.com/news/friday-...
Amazing. Thanks for the support.
No. I’m in Ontario. I’m sure I’ll make it to Montreal for the playoffs.
When you’re here, if you want, I’ll meet you, sell you a copy ($30) and sign it.
Are you in Montreal?
Leaf fans are the MAGA of the hockey community. They believe whatever their media tells them. How do I get a signed copy of that book?
