‘Truly thrilled’: Santa Rosa completes purchase of land envisioned as city’s ‘Central Park’ The sale marks a milestone in a 15-year effort to transform the 2-mile strip of land off Highway 12 into a park. The city and its partners are turning their focus to planning.

Now helping out on this remarkable project, transforming 50 acres of abandoned Caltrans right-of-way into a “Central Park” for Santa Rosa.
