The Courier walking through the Strip in Fallout: New Vegas, from an isometric birds-eye-view.
Felt inspired by that isometric Fallout 4 post going around
The only one I haven't played, but I grabbed it in the Steam sale so gonna change that soon
Buffy PS2 main menu on a CRT.
Holy shit this holds up
This is an absolute work of art.

That's so corny 2010s it's adorable
Steam Deck ushered in a new type of handheld, I can see this doing the same for PC consoles. Really neat to see the space innovating rather than arbitrary generations that feel the same back to back to back.
Im glad to hear that! Fwiw our emails are always open if you do ever find that to be the case.
Heartbreaking to see so many talented colleagues laid off, and I really hope they land on their feet at somewhere that lets them thrive, but I promise those of us who are left will still do great work like this for as long as we can.
We still will be!
After 6 years with TheGamer, Valnet has decided to shut down features and lay off the entire team, including me.
I don't know what's next for me but I intend to stay in games, whether that's at another outlet, consulting, or PR. If you have any leads, I'd appreciate any help
Needless to say, like many amazing others, I'll be available for work. If you need anyone with experience in:
- Video Production
- Video Editing
- Editorial Work
- Writing
- Graphics
- Management
Or just about anything else, because I've learnt so much already, so why not more?
See you around.
This feels far too evergreen, but we're always open for feature pitches at pitches@gamesradar.com, and my personal email is in bio.
I get to work with so many brilliant writers, and there's always room for more ❤️
Being the youngest at work for nearly six years has been really bleak. Feels like generations of talent are being scared off by this industry and it's hard to blame them.
If anyone needs a hand with applying to PR roles, please let me know. I’d be more than glad to help.
Sending so much love to anyone who’s been let go ♥️
And I look forward to even more obscure movie recommendations
Gonna miss working with you man
I got laid off from TheGamer today, along with the entire Features team (go give
@epicswitzer.bsky.social
and
@hallafyre.bsky.social
a follow!)
Needless to say, I'm now looking for work. I'm open to roles in:
-Journalism
-PR
-Copywriting
-Copy editing
-Games writing
-Scriptwriting
Unfortunately, my time as an Editor for TheGamer.com has come to an end.
I met some of the best coworkers I've ever had there, I learned and grew a lot.
If anyone is looking for a journo, especially for guides, reviews, VR, horror, and farming RPGs, I'd love to hear from you.
Please follow and support what they do next, as all three of them are tremendous talents who deserve the very best.

No matter what they end up doing, they're going to kick ass and do themselves proud.
That means a lot! Still surreal to be working at such a queer, yet mainstream site.
Slaughter High does not get enough credit. Need to make it an April Fools tradition tbh
That won't get as many Twitter likes tho
There's probably a middle ground; a bit of red-faced disaster can be enormously character building imo. It was for me! But that comes from the mistake itself being gently pointed out anyway. Some people just seem to get off on being a holier than thou arsehole
And sadly, there’s a reason we have to write some stuff we’re not particularly proud of. It keeps the lights on.
I’ve done plenty of original reporting over the past year, 95%+ of it has gone largely unnoticed. TGS is just one of many examples of this.
Thanks man, I love our little crew
badge of honour at this point lmao
Anyway, George is lovely, a great boss, and has helped me through very difficult times. One mistake, from a made-up quote that duped /plenty/ of journalists, doesn't diminish that, and it is needlessly cruel and combative to gleefully say that sites like ours will be replaced by AI.
This is indistinguishable from the constant belittling in comment sections and emails we face regularly and I love that it's coming from our peers, emboldening those voices, in an already dwindling industry. I cannot imagine staying in it if anything ever happened at TG tbqh.
