This Thanksgiving was all about quince. I've been thinking about this quince compote my mom used to make for me growing up. So I built these quince apple pear pie & galette with it as the main character. Wish I got better pictures, but these turned out incredible!

Also, the approval is technically still pending a home visit so we're not entirely through yet.

We finally got approved to adopt a puppy from a local rescue and I have So. Many. Thoughts. about this process and it's implications in dog ownership culture in the US.

It started raining a little while ago and I honestly got emotional. Freaking finally
