i drew four puffles with different cartoon styles, guess which is which

I would still make the other walls off camera to block out ambient light so the lighting looks more like an enclosed space even if you keep the camera angled so still just show the one wall. Also should go gpu shopping :)

For getting god rays through the window, it's better to have all the light very sharp which is why I suggested a sun lamp instead of area. You don't really see this effect on cloudy days

It's looking nice! For window lighting I would actually not use an area light at all and use a sun lamp instead angled through the window and for dust particles put a cube encompassing the whole room and give it a volume scatter material (density 0.2 in my sample). Here's a sample i made

I do love when stuff like that is done! Kirby’s epic yarn is another game using DIY aesthetics, and even though the art is made digitally I still like the look of the game a lot

I’m not familiar with Neverhood but I looked it up and it seems cool! I love old classics like that. I actually was inspired to use clay style from clay.com which is a SaaS which I have not even used but I thought the art on their landing page is cute!

my friend made me a real clay penguin for my bday like the one I made in blender for my game.
