This was a fantastic series.

Might as well grab it for when I get a computer that will actually run it

It's actually not bad.

I have mixed hot cocoa mix with the espresso at work. We will see how this goes.

I was excited about the Freedom Force game when it came out and saw all the characters people were able to make. Later, I found out that they were able to make these because they had special 3D programs to make the models.

If you want to talk miraculous ressurections, Pibb has ceased being Xtra and is once again the humble Mr. Pibb.

Did adult Jesus ever appear in any Rankin-Bass specials? Baby Jesus was at least a plot point in a few of them but did we ever see adult Jesus or did they just stick to the Easter Bunny?

I'm sure it could be done now, but I would specifically want the stop-motion wizardry they had at their disposal. That exact vibe of their specials, especially the second-tier ones that weren't quite as good as their major ones. You could also just do it full animated, like "Frosty the Snowman."

Imagine, if you will, an Easter special about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ but done by Rankin-Bass. It could follow Jesus and his apostles from the Last Supper to his emergence from the tomb on Easter but be done with fun extra characters and filled with almost catchy songs.

For those celebrating other holidays, or no holiday at all, do what you feel is right. This isn't your burden. You have a lot of other things to deal with but you can almost certainly vent some frustrations creating and showing art to those who do celebrate Easter.

Bonus points if you find fun holiday-themed ways to segue into showing them. During a viewing of "Passion of the Christ" smile knowingly and say, "I know about Christ's passion." Then show them your treasure. It will help alleviate what, by all accounts, is an absolutely grueling cinematic endeavor.

Make this Easter weekend special for all your relatives by drawing or finding human-made art depicting the Easter Bunny passionately making out with Jesus Christ and then showing all your relatives how Christian and Pagan traditions can be merged with love and understanding.

Not yet. I imagine that if I worked at an actual news-type outlet and they offered me the chance to work on putting something together like that I'd cherish the change in routine.

Yeah, he retired in 1999, I believe? But I did find the article about it. That sort of thing is also fun.

Oh, and anyone who posts any kind of AI-generated garbage today and tries to claim it as April Fool's thing, they're the fool. If you're going to do a thing at least put some own effort into it.

Something odd has happened to the pin people in the Bowler Series...

My least favorite was when IGN announced Gyromite was being released for GBA with a mini-ROB, only because my heart wanted it so badly that I fell for it hard.

So I hope if you do anything for today it's harmless and fun and not a harsh reminder that you shouldn't trust anyone.

Even Disney Adventures used to do some April Fool's stuff for their April issues, like comics with mistakes you were supposed to find and report for a potential prize. I think "The Drew Carey Show" did something similar? Been a few years since I set eyes on either of those.

A lot of webcomics used to do fun ones, too, and some still might so go read some webcomics. Two years ago @ladyjess.bsky.social and I did a comic swap. promisedmemories.thecomicseries.com

One of my favorite April Fool's things was that year that a bunch of comics in the newspaper swapped creative teams for a day. Sally Forth, I believe, just had their artist and writer do the other's job. It was a fun surprise.

The digital lady Proxy Blue is not just for general exposition but also has a search function, apparently, and is self-aware enough to hold a conversation and know how many people are in a room. Is she an actual AI or some lady in a room somewhere? Will it ever be explained?

This episode is about a lady who was friends with the VP in high school working for the enemy and she can interface with computers.

For the past two episodes there also seems to be a lot of hints that the VP has, at least, bisexual leanings. I doubt she really does but it would add a layer to her.

She could probably feel his breath on her neck, is how close the vampire was. Anyway, he tried to suck her life-force and later got taken out and not VP is having issues.

He doesn't bite, he sucks out souls through people's mouths, but everything about him screams "vampire" and when he's introduced it's in a bar with viewpoint girl and electric guy. VP is told her drink was paid by the guy behind her and she turns around and he's just RIGHT THERE.

She could reverse a person's moral alignment for a while so the Mutant X leader was evil for a little while. Not as big of a deal because, like the main bad guy, he has no powers. They are both highly sci-fi intelligent, but still, not that big of a deal.

This episode has a vampire, though.

He was! He was a covert ops guy trying to sell information to the highest bidder and using his son for unwitting protection. Surprisingly, he lived and his son seemed to learn his lesson.

The next episode I watched had Emily Hampshire who played Stevie in "Schitt's Creek" which was nice to see.

The main villain of the series is a sickly white-haired man whose only power seems to be that he runs the evil lab organization place. He is infinitely defeatable, in other words.

In this episode a character's dad shows up, being shot at. Want to bet he's using his son towards his own ends?

She wasn't evil, just remorseless and willing to "do what it takes" while the other was far too careful. The reason they split was some technobabble about splitting double helixes. They get recombined at the end, no one gets too hurt, etc.

The episode currently on has the first episode's viewpoint character, who's an empath whose go-to battle move is "snake stock footage" which makes people feel as if they're being choked by snakes, being split into two people. One is probably evil, it's early in the episode yet.
