Things I did before I got sober:
- Ordered BK drive-thru, drunk, paid and drove off without picking up my food (twice)
Things I’ve done since:
- Had 2 kids; never seen me drink
- Got engaged to a pretty rad lady
- Shared a Peabody award
So…it’s different. Highly recomend the latter.

12 years away from alcohol and life is good. If you're struggling out there, reach out to someone. It doesn't have to be that way. The shame is in your mind.
I've long coveted satellite data, but it's tough to work with. Building a tool that allows for the quick view/export of Sentinel-2 and GOES data.
Here's an export from my prototype of the area burned by the Jones Road Fire near Barnegat, NJ last April.
Local police, constable and sheriff's officers are now making immigration arrests on ICE's behalf in Pa., new data show. There are now 78 Pa. authorities who have agreements with ICE, up from 45 in December.
These agreements are illegal in NJ.

Rooklyn — Season in Review
The bad: Wolf, Traore, Saraf and Powell look like significant projects right now. They ranked 25 to 31 among rookies on my board this season.
Each showed flashes of potential, but not consistency. Only Saraf and Powell finished the season healthy.
Rooklyn — Season in Review
The good(ish) - Egor Demin had a solid rookie season before getting injured. He ranked 12th on my board among rookies — fairly close to his draft position (8).
Still, he's off the pace of the elite class of rookies this season. More: sstirling.github.io/rooklyn/

NBA Rookie Takes:
- Cooper should win ROY but to me it's close among 3.
- VJ Edgecombe has played better than Knueppel
- 48th overall pick Javon Small is the steal of the 2025 draft

Absolutely breathtaking view of the Artemis II launch.
Wow.
It's good to be reminded these days that science, and scientists, still fucking rule. 🚀

Devil in the Detail - #NJDevils vs. Blackhawks review:
Pointless fun, but fun nonetheless.
- Jack w/ 25 points in 15 games since Olympics
- Hischier, even in a down year, has been our most consistent player

We’re still in that sweet spot haha
Devil in the Detail - #NJDevils vs. Stars review
High-flying fun.
- Hughes has 21 points in 13 games since the Olympics
- Bratt: What a goal
- Underneath the scoring, the Allen was just OK, albeit against a dangerous team

Rooklyn - #Nets vs. Kings report
Racing to the lottery...
- Solid games from Saraf and Traore
- Wolf hasn't looked as good recently

Devil in the Detail: #NJDevils vs. Capitals review
Jake Allen has been very good for the Devils this year. The Devils have not been good for Jake.
- Allen was our best player, by far
- Luke Hughes continues to be inconsistent

An Ecuadorian man in his late 30s taken into custody in Philly was moved nearly 5,000 miles across 14 facilities before being deported.
“It isolates them,” she said. “You lose the resources, you lose access to counsel, to your witnesses, to your evidence."

If you murder someone in the U.S. and get caught, you will generally have a more stable life in jail than the thousands being detained by ICE, many of whom's only offense is civic, not criminal.

That's not to knock the actual investigative work, which appears top notch. I just don't understand why.
