Temporality and translation: Thematic and non-thematic narrative – Encounters in translation Narrative theorists broadly agree that stories are important to both being and knowing. There is less agreement, however, as to exactly how deep narrative goes. The strongest narrativists—such as Davi...

Thanks Matt. This is a narrower application of Heidegger's thought to a trad understanding of translation. I do think you could usefully think of both articulation and Articulation as translational - rather than just thinking of translation as grounded in articulation and Articulation as I do here.

My latest paper is now out!

I use Heidegger's existential hermeneutics to explore the ontological relationships between translators and their equipment and environment and argue that translation can re-disclose the world, revealing it in new ways.

I'm back to work today after three months of parental leave.

I'm so glad to have done it a second time. It's been wonderful to spend quality time with my child but also so helpful to get proper insight into how it feels to be off for an extended period and then come back to work.
