The basin area aft looks like it’s made for diving off of into a lake. But this ship doesn’t do lakes. 😂

I talked to some UIUC CS students five years ago. It wasn’t much different from my time 20 years prior. That’s a theory-heavy department, and the _theory_ has only evolved a little. They have better access to tools and other resources than we had.

I would have hired those kids on the spot.

I remember the same kind of ads for Java in its early days. I’m sure there’s many like them for Rust now. SSDD! 😂

Jesus, even MS-DOS shipped with edlin. I have to go back to my Apple II for something that shipped without a basic text editor!

No, it absolutely makes sense, and @katieporterca.bsky.social should know better.

Farming is, by and large, a large-corporate industry. If we're looking for ways to preserve family-owned farms, the solutions will be found in the ways that large corporations exclusively benefit.

This is the ship they use to turn that star into a torus, right?

True. He was responsible for turning over a list of credibly-accused priests in the Augustinian order to Illinois prosecutors, and did not.

I also don't know who Hasan Piker is. I never heard of him before... about four weeks ago?

Do not assume your friends were accurately taught history. (Assuming you were! Maybe you weren’t, either!)

The people who lost to Donald Trump a second time need to go off into the wilderness. Not just the political wilderness. The actual wilderness.

Every time they open their mouths it should be “you lot let Donald Trump get away with everything, just shut up.”

All of these law enforcement agencies need to finish life in prison.

The hubris that they’re entitled to take away people’s rights… these are no public servants.

This is PAST security, at a gate. Sterile area of the airport. These men have NO identifying clothes or emblems. They look like random travelers, attacking and kidnapping a Latina woman.

Where's SF Airport Police?

reshare for alt text, republicans and rich people who want to privatize mail have been lying about the USPS and trying to push this narrative longer than I've been alive, and imposing massive financial burdens on it to make it "insolvent"

something that's very hard for today's kids to understand:
* there were only a few major brands of chewing gum
* everyone knew all of them
* each had its own banging anthem, whose words we still know
* every one of these brands of gum fucks, to this day
