I don’t know about “business” but I’d guess being in a public feud with the widow of a universally beloved figure that voiced most of the greatest moments in your franchise’s overwhelmingly putrid history in a city filled with grudge-holding psychopaths (complimentary) over “napkin money” is bad.

SEPTA. I still say that I'm taking the R3 to Market East, or taking the Broad Street Subway to Pattison.
Rest in peace to one of the great bloggers and the de facto mayor of Philadelphia. It was my honor and pleasure to work with him. defector.com/dan-mcquade-...
probably the grimmest thing about the law review process (speaking as a former articles editor for a relatively prestigious journal at a big fancy law school) is that, as unqualified as the student editors are, they absolutely improve the articles they receive. most law professors cannot write.

Guy Incognito was voiced by Dan Castellaneta, who was also the voice of father character Homer
Not all people who hate The Last Jedi are dumb motherfuckers, but if you’re a dumb motherfucker odds are you hate The Last Jedi.
I’m going to be blunt. I read the Wurman/Barnett op-ed again. It’s hackery by amateur historians who misstate the legal history and twist their own argument, seemingly unable to decide whether text, intent, or original meaning is what matters. It’s not scholarly. And they should be ashamed of it.
Philly DAO is always ready to take a look at people's resumes.
Fantastic news! A veterans committee finally undid two grave injustices by electing Dick Allen and Dave Parker to the Hall of Fame @baseballhall.bsky.social. Both men dominated their eras … but Allen, in particular, was a victim of racism in the league and the press.

The increasingly muscular NLRB doesn't get enough attention but it's the administrative state at its best, lately
alanalindsay One of the things I struggle with most is how so many people cannot accept that the hostages and the people of Gaza are two sides of the same coin in this war. Do you really not see how much stronger and powerful we would be if more pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian voices actually came together, under a truly unified cry that called for an end to the suffering for both people? In the future people will look back in history and think how could they all really not see the parallels? Why couldn't they put down their shields and daggers for a moment and agree on this one thing, that life is worth saving? How did they miss the point when it was right there in front of them dying, bleeding, hungry and tortured? Deal now. Save innocent life. It's the only way that makes sense.

One could argue that some climate change impacts have saturated the news (I wouldn't, but one could) -- heat waves, stronger hurricanes, wildfire, etc -- but I just don't think it has rippled out just how bad the situation is in Greenland and West Antarctica, and what that truly means for the world.
There are *thousands* of sheriff & DA elections in 2024. And filing deadlines are already passing!
So I jumped into them, identifying the 2,200+ races & reviewing early hotspots.

The difference is that the media thinks of Clinton as a person who should know better. They think of Trump as a fascinating monster. This has the odd effect of making Clinton's very human expression of exasperation seem monstrous, while humanizing Trump's monstrosity.

I deeply and sincerely hope that the reports that the IDF is going to give more time for people to move out of Northern Gaza is true, and I very sincerely pray they pause operations and craft a more judicious and careful response before they do this terrible thing that everyone expects them to do
I have watched the Dodgers make the playoffs 13 out of the last 16 years. In all but one of those years they have done the same thing over and over: forget how to hit with runners on base. Being a fan of this team is just exhausting.
I felt like that was exactly the spot to go to Outman
Well, RIP Bird App. I'm here on Bluesky now though.
