Let’s get rid of the MMR, tuberculosis, scarlet fever, bubonic plague, yellow fever, and polio vaccines while we’re at it. I was never so sick as I was during that first week of basic 😅
I got a hell of an immune system though 💪

Took my new virtual "band" out for a spin today. It was a little bit rocky at first. On the plus side, everyone showed up but I only had to buy beer for myself 🙃

The music is wild, the whole aesthetic is bonkers, and I love it.

Today’s studio session I sorted through all the bits and bobs I’ve made over the last few weeks, classified them, sorted them into bins, and applied pithy labels.
Raw material or detritus? Time will tell…

I’m impressed by musicians who go into a project with a clear intent in mind.
Every time I start a project I have an INTENT which develops into multiple INTENTS then devolves into a confused chaos of VACILLATION and ultimately just figuring out what I’m doing after I’ve been DOING it for a while 🤷‍♂️

Look forward to hearing it!

I like constraints to keep me focused and assembling a group of virtual players is one of primary ways I do that. This is probably my third iteration this go ‘round but I think I’ve landed on the right band.

Today’s studio session had me rethinking a lot of the work I’ve been doing over the last few weeks. Spent some time making a new template which is essentially me assembling the “band”.
Piano bit from yesterday still sounds good so tomorrow I’m diving in with both hands to develop some new stuff ☺️

Osprey hijinks. There’s a female sitting down hidden in the nest. Her mate (right) is doing his best to look impressive and eventually chases off the interloper (left).

Original seascape oil painting by Tisha Mark, "Wavering" oil on Ampersand Gessobord, 8"x8" (2026). This loosely painted seascape painting is monochromatic (black & white). Sharing for today's #BlueSkyArtShow theme, #Edge

This painting is all about an emotional response. I used value and texture to express how I was feeling in a particular moment. Painted from imagination and memory in my studio.

I love this. Trump tried to cancel our Revolution Wind project twice and failed. It’s almost done and has successfully delivered power to the mainland in testing last month. It’ll be fully operational before the end of the year!

How Big Tech Co-opted DIY – and how to Fight Back | The Quietus As technology has developed in the last twenty years, it has brought with it a sense of enablement. Over time, access to nearly everything has become simpler, and as such, the message from Silicon Val...

“The problem with [being able to do everything yourself] is that it ultimately endorses the bleak, dystopian sentiment pervaded by Big Tech, namely that provided you are reliant on tech platforms, you have zero need for other assistance, community or input.”

It’s always nice to work from our happy places. No matter how I try to change up the instrumentation, I always end up back at the piano.

What is your preferred medium?

(Your dog is adorable, btw)

Today’s studio session, much like the last few days, was just playing with ideas and sounds. Some were useful, some, not so much.
Came up with a really nice little piano bit today so all the dinking about was worth it. ☺️
