In public, I've made the things I say cryptic and path-dependent, either to check who sees my words and whose eyes glaze over, or to cause that intentionally. In private, I'm usually quite clear.

At one point I heard a story involving a baseball bat.

I used to know someone who had a FetLife profile that was just a picture of a butternut squash in, like, dramatic lighting. It communicated exactly what he wanted it to.

... That's a pretty big specimen I have to say.

I use stellar objects and constellations etc. Cygnus, Vega, Polaris, that kind of thing.

Come to think of it, I might have updated too far in the direction of "I'm not compatible with normal jobs" because of this.

I will be annoying myself and remind everyone that we *contain* such a machine. Slightly different :p

But do you have to actually have one for that to work? I suppose it's easy enough to plan ahead for. I've been over here in Pixel-land waiting for Google to get their act together on the UWB trackers, but that's never gonna happen.

Isn't that so much fun? Like, the source of the dependence gets blurred in this really interesting way. Very particular to nicotine.... hee

Now that you've liked this and reminded me, I realized the true greatest use of it. Going to the bathroom or getting snacks etc without losing context while being someone who becomes a different person in different rooms by default >.>

I was *staying* there. I tried getting a flight out of there. I couldn't. I guess to Europe it works. As long as you want to go to like... Turkey.

There's some kind of strategy of like, you have a sliding window and watch what window works best, but you have to change the size of the window too. It's pretty inefficient how much you have to redo the computation.

They did, it's called Gatwick.

When I hear that I think.. sometimes I change a lot on a month to month basis and sometimes I don't change for two years. I've always been put off by the arbitrariness of boundaries chosen in ontology generation. They always come up somehow.

... I similarly have like 15 years of Google data. Plus a mix of Facebook, Twitter, and Discord. That's kinda my endgame, the long view.

lmk if you need an equal countercounterpoint lol. Pretty half-hearted these days, but well, while I may not like the guy himself that much right now personally, I feel much more strongly about the filter bubbles around him, and I'll fight them any day.
